Re: Playoff Games Saturday 2/24/24
The 8AA carnage continues. Which means no northern team will represent Section 8 this year since Elk River and Buffalo will play for the section championship next week. If Andover wins Section 7 again, there will be no northern teams at the tourney this year. Would make for the best state tournamen...

Horrible Head Coach. Can’t win big games. Usually out coached in games of importance.WarmUpTheBus wrote: ↑Tue Jan 30, 2024 3:23 pmDoes anyone have some special insight into what's up at Rogers? They looked like a top 5 team coming into the season but have had some puzzling losses.

Re: CLASS AA SF - #1 Minnetonka vs #4 Andover
Pure juice. Tonka is certainly a beatable team and Andover has the second best top line in the entire tourney (Warroad at the top). If Thoreson, Casey, and Conway are able to get some good scoring chances, I like Andover's chances. 50/50 game. Agree on 50/50 game. Disagree on second best line. Thor...

If the MSHSL (they are the problem) and the schools themselves can’t figure out the obvious…..most high school sports will be done in ~10 years. You are going to run out of officials. While bad decisions by local youth hockey associations, changing demographics, and cost are all factors. There is a...

No, I am saying humans do bad things, we are all sinners. John 8:7. I am not the one to throw the first stone. Neither are you. I do not condone his behavior by any means. I am not embarrassing myself. It is really pretty ironic how people want to judge others. That this sin committed by someone el...

And Andover loses to Rogers. Was Andover put on too high of a pedestal this season just because they won it (some might say unexpectedly) last year? From what I’ve seen. Andover is ranked properly. Losing to Rogers 3-1 with an EN goal without their top 2 centers and playing right along with them wi...

This is pretty much conjecture from me, so take it with a grain of salt. I don't see quite as much parity as last year. Below are what I see as soft tiers going into next season. A cut above the rest Maple Grove Andover Rogers Solidly Top 10 Moorhead Edina Lakeville South Benilde Minnetonka Revolvi...

All right, all right! Cut me some slack, I can't holler at the kids to get off my lawn until it gets warmer. Here's how it worked out for my Pioneers this winter: they lost fair and square with a healthy squad, no excuses. Here's the deal with taking unnecessary risks: there are no guarantees. If I...

Ugh. We're involved in this non-sense again? Lex, please, send the JV. We don't need to risk our players' health on outdoor ice so close to the playoffs. (Any time after Nov. 20 is too close to the playoffs.) This is hands down the most questionable thing I see in Lechner. I much prefer the (appare...

I'd recommend Hill Haters eat a mild dinner on Thursday, else they end up with an upset stomach. Maybe chicken soup and some white bread. We Pioneers like that prime time slot. And being the first game of the session, those interested in the night cap will see us win. We public school peeps can't a...

Uh, no, no way they have players from No Dak. You see, it's only the privates that do that. For the publics, the players have "played with each other from mites on up." Usually they've even been on the same line for years. Or so we're told every March. Disclaimer- My kids attend public school. With...

Re: Grand Rapids vs Andover - Section 7AA Final
Grand Rapids could not have picked a worse time to play their worst game since the Maple Grove debacle 6 weeks ago. They were obviously tighter-than-tight, with countless mishandled pucks, fanned shots and numerous passed pucks that slid across the ice to nowhere. Most of this sloppy play was self-...
