I wonder if Cloquet was selected to participate in Hockey Day before the 3 departures were confirmed. They look to be a mere shell of a team with the loss of the 2 Michauds and Kuhlman. Looks like the soap opera that played out there last year isn't done.

I think hitting a kid with a chair is a little more than mad and swearing.
You witnessed it?
A locker room full of kids did, in a temporary trailer used as a locker room at Superiors Wessman Arena.

You are from Cloquet and you dont know who it is?? Seriously??? I think everyone involved in hockey up here knows who it is. I have heard the name of one of the parties involved, but if the board admins are opposed to them being named or if it would result in me being banned, no way I'm say...

Okay, so everyone knows that Esse is the coach involved in this deal, and a lot of people seem to know who the main parent is. Isn't it public information at this point? Why is the main complainant, or for that matter, ALL the complainant's, name not being mentioned? Would the admins object to someo...

I find it interesting that a former Duluth East hockey parent is representing the Cloquet parents. I'm sure Mr. Mathias is an excellent attorney, just find it interesting. Whatever the outcome, hopefully there is a quick resolution so everyone involved can move forward. Add to that, he represented ...

Re: Another coach under fire

http://www.duluthnewstribune.com/event/article/id/261171/ There have been previously released bits and pieces about this, but it looks like the issue is more related to non-coaching issues. Another classic example of the need for hockey WITHOUT parents. Over exaggerated story (I'm speculating) Some...

Why? For the most part, these are selfish self absorbed displays of "look at me". Should the assist kid do it also?

Goal Celebrations

I got really tired of the "slide on one knee goal celebrations" this year. Is it me, or has it become out of style to actually respectfully celebrate, WITH THE GUYS ON THE ICE WITH YOU, instead of gliding all over on one knee and sweeping up the ice with your glove like you did it all by y...

First, I am not opposed to Hermantown being in Single A, because their enrollment would place them there. BUT, before everyone places them on some kind of pedestal for competing so valiantly against the dreaded STA and other Single A privates, remember that Duluth East is the ONLY school in the NE t...

I think Sanford in Bemidji or the National Hockey Center in St. Cloud would be good locations in a rotation with Amsoil. Regardless of how nice the facilities are, it still comes down to the fact that playing in your hometown and on one of your home rinks is an advantage. So, you are suggesting goi...

There were no complaints the years Rapids went to state in 06 and 07. I would say if there is going to be a rotation that the south should earn it first. Seems East, GR, and CEC are the only teams to rep 7AA the last 15 years. I think it is a privilege to have a venue as nice as the Amsoil for thes...
