Old goalie85, Time will tell. Is it better to go 30-0 as a squirt, or better in bantams/highschool. I have my opinion, but no right or wrong snswer. I don't know that answer but I know our players really did get a lot better this year and we practiced and had scrimmages outside with some of the bett...

We played Inver Grove Heights "B" Squirt team for the championship in District 8 and the score ended up 6 to 2 Johnson Como but the score was 3 to 2 with 1:58 left in the game. This just solidifies that we are just a above average "B" team and not a definte "A" team.

I watched the district 8 "A" Squirt playoffs and We could play with one team the others would beat us bad with our two lines. We are to good for "B" and not good enough for "A" so the solution is to make the squirts the same as the rest of Minnesota Hockey (AA, A, B and "C"). We would have been "A",...

SCBlueliner, I am the ex-president and the Head coach of the "B" squirt team and from what I am seeing I would hope they would have an "A" Pee Wee team next year. It is up to the President and board in the program. Last years "B" Squirts were 22 wins 8 losses and 6 ties and now this exceptional year...

I understand all to well about challanging your players. I use to coach the Johnson Como "A" Pee Wee's when all the teams in district 8 use to clober us 8, 9, 10 to 1 or 2. It was real hard to get your heads beat in every game and try to develop talent. I came back to coach last year at the "B" Squi...

Smallest Assoc. in the STATE

Does any organization have less players than us. 16 total Bantams ( "B" team) 29 Pee Wee's ("B" team and "C" team 35 Squirts (1 "B" team 12 total players, 2 "C" teams with 11 & 12). 80 Total Boys. We have girls but they all choose to play girls hockey. Don't feel sorry for us but don't bash us for n...

Thank You for the well wishes.

Old goalie85, Thanks for the comments, most of the families that left were not because of "A" teams but because they didn't pay their bills. Some seem to think hockey is free when you go out to the local establishment and see them spending money hand over fist on partying and not paying their ice th...

We played Lakeville North Red last night and won 6 to 3 in a hard fought playoff game. After the game I had a conversation with the Coachs from Lakeville and told them about the posts on here and they said it is ridiculous that we are a for sure "B" team in their eyes. They have played us three times.

Old Goalie85, You forgot to mention the "B" Bantams going to state this year. We have 16 bantams total for the program so yo say they should go "A", Pee Wee's have 32 total they should go "A" and the Squirts have 35 total, 12 for what your saying should be "A" and two "C" teams 12 and 11 each. If yo...

I really appreciate some of the input but we have to designate before tryouts and schedules are even made before tryouts are done. Again we have 12 total players and part of the issue is we have two lines so our first line is playing other teams third line every other time. There is no way we ever e...

InigoMontoya, I know where your headed but we have a total of 35 Squirts. We returned 4 forwards back from our "B" team last year and we did consider going "A" but only had one goalie at this level and 1 returning defenseman. No we don't have an "A" team we have 12 total players on our "B" team, 12 ...

I see on Youth Hockey Hub they rank Squirts and I also heard that Minnesota Hockey next year will have a tournament champions for all districts. Yes Squirt hockey is a stepping stone to Pee Wee's and Bantams but if you look there are alot more Squirt teams than the other levels, I think Minnesota Ho...

PuckRanger,
Better check with East Grand Forks, on their website it shows their "B" Squirt team in Fargo and the Green team doesn't have anything on theirs.
Better to be safe. We at Johnson Como are looking forward to coming back to your tournament. Had a great time last year.

EEL POUT

How about it is late in the game and Virginia "B" Squirts are up 4 to 1 over International Falls and all of a sudden the horn sounds the refs are blowing whistles like crazy and than the score keeper says "EEL POUT TIME OUT" to give International Falls a break to catch their breath.
Only up "NORT"
