Try-outs

Frederick61,
Thank You good post. Just a couple corrections. Washburn/Richfield is another combo team and Johnson and Como will not even field "A" Pee Wee teams this season.

It is nice to see some positive things about city hockey. All we ever hear from teams in the suburbs is how we don't belong. Just remember Johnson use to be where you guys are finally at.

I use to watch the Catholic tournament at Aldrich. Those tournaments use to be more spirited than at the Excel Center.

Bronc, Thanks for the reply. Look at Little Falls yes they have had some good teams and our B Pee Wee team from Como went to there tournament this year and their teams were very strong. Talking to the president of Little Falls he explained this is the last of the good teams and next year other than ...

I think you just take District 2, District 3, District 6 and District 10 and let them have there own tournament since they are all better than everyone else. It was not always like that before everyone had to move to the suburbs to keep up with the Jones's. Even today I get home from work in the cit...

I think a good checking school would be good to get him ready for Bantams and above. Put him up to "C" Pee Wee's this year.

Hockey masta, You might be right but I know the Como kids would rather play at the rec. centers than play with the Highland kids. There are a few different reasons but the biggest one would be I will not pay anywhere from $800 to $1500 so the ice scheduler at Highland can make $35,000 a year (you kn...

Since my Como team got knocked out by lowly Johnson I will have to go with Chaska and Edina. Highland and Irondale won't win a game and Mpls/Park may win once if they are lucky.

The seeding is Sunday so time will tell the pairings.
Look for Johnson to be a possible #6 seed instead of Stillwater. All others are set in stone.

Copied from: St. Thomas Bantam B - Fairness in MN Hockey? Or not. Does anyone believe me now about the things that happen in District1? They even moved the Washburn "B" bantams to "C" batams after the season was almost over. I bet the two "A" pee wee teams at the bottom of this great district should...

CTbrow1,
Are you kidding? That number 6 team (Johnson) is one of the worst "A" pee wee teams in the state. That team has only won 3 games. Check out WWW.MNhockeyrankings.com
People say I'm negative but check this team from Johnson out and you be the judge. I am smarter than a 5th grader.

Elliott, Thank You for your post. I still agree that (every year on most youth levels it is the same teams at the bottom getting penalized by the same refs over and over). I don't think coaches intentionally teach the kids to take penalties do they? So why are the same teams at the bottom or maybe t...

So if that is the case maybe all the teams which number 7 under them in the league should go "C". Richfield killed Johnson last night 7-2. I look at the Como and Johnson "A" Pee Wee teams and they both have won 1 game in the league each but I give them credit for attempting. Both of those teams try ...

Exactly so what is the point only to belittle some teams because they take a couple more penaties than another. Watch any level in Minnesota other than Minnnesota youth hockey and there is no limit. Hep points are over rated and if you look every year on most youth levels it is the same teams at the...
