I had the same question. Pretty surprised not to see Jordan Lovick's name amongst the other talented District 10 players. My congrats to those players listed.

Re: Fr/So Dev. camp v. Advanced 15
Eddie Shore - couldn't agree with you more and as a supporter of both boys and girls hockey, I continue to become more disenchanted with the girls program - it seems they continue to take one foot forward and two steps back. There are a lot of good people involved that are trying to do the rights th...

This is a ridiculous thread and I can't believe people think they can make an intelligent comparison when you have one talented player who is playing against equal or younger aged players and one exceptionally offensively talented young player successfully playing against players that are two to thr...

While I mean no disrespect to the players on the EP and SSP teams that won the championship this year, I did not get overly excited about their accomplishment for the simple fact t...

bauerhockey40 - do your team a favor and show it on the ice and don't embarrass your team with some of your comments here. Blaine is a good team and I happened to see the game against MV and they were impressive. But it appears they have also lost some games to teams they shouldn't have. I would not...

I think AHA will win AA but would like to see White Bear. Unsure about A as it seems a lot of quality teams will have solid first lines but not sure which teams will have the most depth - does TRF have a shot?

Jordan Schroeder is an extremely talented young hockey player and a lot of fun too watch. For those naysayers who want to say he is too small and won't do much against quality competition, I would suggest that you take a look at the Elite 1 final statistics and see that this young man finished secon...

Re: 2005-2006 Schwan Cup
Chris K - agree with everything you said and that is exactly what stuck out with me when I read the lineups. I would also question Wayzata being in the Gold Division with the loss of Lucia, and possibly Wehrs and Miller (?) as I believe's last year's team was pretty much a one line team. I think Elk...

Elite II - section 4A/AA
I have read this thread many times over and have tried to refrain from commenting as it seems there is always room for comment, "constructive" criticism, etc. regarding selection processes when it comes to these types of teams. Having not been at the Section 4 try-outs I don't feel I'm in ...

Re: 2005 SECTION 1A/1AA Elite II Roster as of 08/30/2005
I have heard similar scenarios with other rosters with coaches taking more players this year than maybe what was done last year. I guess I would concur with some posters that are saying it would make some sense to follow similar guidelines that Elite I employs - it would seem to make sense to follow...

Re: Blaine has Good Hockey
Gray Mullet - just wanted to let you know that you might have been a little misinformed about Blaine's aging population; actually they are still ranked in the top five in new homes construction and still only 50% developed. There association was affected somewhat with the Andover split and lost 100+...

Can someone who is better informed than myself on how these teams are formed explainthe geographical breakdowns? I see where there are 8 Holy Angels kids spread out amongst four teams. In addition, I noticed that there is a player from Lakeville and Grand Rapids on the Northwest team.

Re: Performance in Bantams vs Rankings
Blake Wheeler DID play on the Wayzata A Bantam team that won the state championship in 2002 as did Lucia, Miller and Wehrs. As we all know, Wheeler went on to play for Breck and then the USHL and rumor has it that Lucia, Miller and Wehrs will not be playing their senior season with the high school t...

Re: Select 17, Final 51 teams
I certainly did not mean to imply an unfairness - just asking as I didn't see his name in the program. I certainly concur that if he's playing in the USHL, that would be a solid argument for his ability to be in this group. I was asking about the injured player policy as there were a few people inqu...

Re: best sophomores
That was something that stood out to me was the little amount of ice time he received during the tournament. I realize that he is a sophmore and Moorhead had an abundance of talented seniors, but I still think he could've received more ice time and there's no question he would've provided a spark. G...
