Re: Update from the IRA (GR vs. Forest Lake)

Good crowd for a 4:30 game on a Saturday thanksgiving weekend, which is early for the first home game. Tuesday should be a barnburner in GR.

Re: Update from the IRA (GR vs. Forest Lake)

Don't know what the shots were but Jensen played very well in goal. Rapids and FLake each had lots of penalties in the game. Scoring for Rapids was White's line on all with Hicks 2, White 2, and Morse 1, with the 5-2 win.

Re: elite league rosters

If I see the roster correctly, the H-M Model Camp group had young forwards compared to the rest of the teams. Also, how can you look at twelve teams of players in the Model Camp that is open to pretty much whoever sends in an application found in "Lets Play Hockey", to 5 or 6 teams in the Fall Leagu...

Re: re:

I agree with the questions regarding the scoring leaders but I would think the selections would be based on more information than the stats we can see. Too bad they don't post +/-, or draws won and lost, or leadership, or bench attitude. Things we will never know but are important in forming a team....

Re: Stejskal

Stejskal is on a team. There are 12 in all and anyone can send in an application for the MODEL Camp. The form was in Let's Play Hockey earlier this year. The Gopher coaches would be in NCAA violation if they cherry picked all the kids in the camp. They are not allowed to recruit any younger players ...

Re: 3AA conspiracy

Do you people think the MSHSL is going to split up 3AA just because you have 4 strong programs with in a few miles of each other. They certainly won't because you think your top 4 would have fared better at the State Tournament.

In all fairness to the kid from Orono, he had more points than anyone else in the festival. Some of his goals were tap ins but hey, you have to have some hockey sense to get in position for those.

I talked to some of the other dads that didn't have their kids (some of the ones you named) chos...

I think you mean "grow up" Mr. hamboni. This site is not for young kids to dig holes they will have a hard time getting out of. Unfortunately, they do and sometimes say things they will regret. I know both of you, (grman and benc) very well. You better hope your future coaches don't frequent this bo...

Re: GOG VS. GOR

Grand Rapids could have had Bobby Orr playing that night against Moorhead and he would not have been noticed. Every great player needs a team behind him for support and the Hawks didn't show up that day. Golligoski has skills and vision that we seldom get to witness in high school hockey. He will be...
