That was a pretty eloquent way of saying they got their a**es beat.
Sounds like the Alabama / Notre Dame football game.

AA or a seperate league would be fine with me for private schools. I would be a little more sympathetic to the Hermantown opinions on this post if their whole system was not peppered with "open enrollment" players. Including some of the top players. A player can be open enrolled and still...

Nothing new about this "loop hole" as you call it. It's been a rule for as long as I can remember. It may be frustrating, but neither of these teams were going to make it out of the District anyway. for all anybody knows, the player and the coaches might have though he only had 4 penaltie...

The bylaws are poorly written and generally are not understood by board members. Because of this, the district director usually has the final say and that is their way out of any / their incompetance and / or to deny debate. Without even reading this, I can tell you the player was ineligible. The ga...

Guys limping off to the bench and falling numerous times because of soft or chipped ice. Seems to me, flip side was slower skating and less checking. So, I'm not sure which is safer outdoors or indoors? Definately took longer time wise.

Marshall never had the lead in this game. SOG were pretty telling. If Marshall had so many shots, why did they never lead??? The only SOG that mattered was the one in OT!![/quote] Translation = Marshall had the better play, but Virginia had the better goalie, atleast on this night. Always nic...

Rapids played their back up goalie. Game was tied 1 to 1 after one period. Hermantown took a 4 to 1 lead after two. And added one more in the third. Garret Skribich had four goals. Jared Thomas got hurt in the second, missed a few shifts and tried skating the rest of the game but was definetely bot...

This subject comes up early every year. Don't see how East wanting Marshall to go up to AA holds water. And Marshall going up doesn't seem feasible as they don't have the numbers of other private schools, year in and year out. I would say the real reason is the hard feelings of East losing players t...

I think this is going to be a really good and close game, Marshall beat them2-1 during the regular season, and the playoff hype is going to make this game that much better. Overall Marshall has the better team, I'm saying 3-1 win for Marshall. Any other predictions? I will agree, Marshall by a coup...

Re: Almost another shocker: Duluth Marshal vs Duluth Central

Marshal Ended up Winning 2-1 Pushing the "L" key more than once, must be too difficult. This game is not any different than the Proctor game or many others when you look at the box score. Terrible save percentage for Duluth Marshall while the other team gets outshot by at least 2:1. Not t...

Yes, they need to play teams that will test them. I've seen the scores from the Meltdown and now the Wings Tourney and its pretty ugly or maybe that's their IMO to trophy case.

MN HS player gets college hockey championship

Maybe this gets moved, but wanted to congratulate Chris Connelly, out of Duluth, for scoring a goal in helping BU get a championship. Not sure of any other MN kids that played in the final.
