I would disagree strongly to his comment Adam fries has a passion for hockey and expects the very most from his players. Just look at Easts record from this year and years past. I have watched West hockey for the last 5+ years and have yet see a West team improve as the season progresses. If you wa...

If New Ulm makes it they won't have a shot. Luverne will be the only team out of 3A that has a shot at winning any games at the X. New Prague on the other hand should give Mankato West a run for their money.

Mankato West vs. Albert Lea

Mankato West followed up on the hot start with a 7 - 4 victory over the Tigers of Albert Lea. It looks like section 1a could be a very tough section this year.

ok, everyone should know the big 9 is up for grabs. There is not just one team that will take the conference, with a lot of teams that have some talent. In my mind i still want to say that Mankato West will take the conference or else they will be fourth. They have lost the most talent out of any te...

he wont be taking bruggemans job. but he'll give the younger players a run Bruggeman will be the backbone for the Scarlets next year. Hayden Schauer is a pretty good goalie and hes a tenth grader. I dont know if he wants to play hockey anymore however. Bruggeman will be the backbone if he stays or ...

In my mind I thought that Bruggeman should have made the team. He had some good stats and everything. Just a thought that I would throw out there.

It would be sweet to have Lehrke, Leivermann, and Litchfield on a line gino's all day for those fellas. Glad MSU is getting some good recruits now.

By the way Stitches that was a low blow on Litchfield. He is a great player, with some dirty dangles.

What great hockey that was this weekend. Besides the south/mayo game it was down to the wire. South definitely is far better than any team in the section. I agree AL did not come to play this game against West. West was fast and maintained good discipline throughout the game. I have also heard that...

From the NP/Lourdes game, Lourdes mostly ran 2 lines it seemed. Compared to the West/AL game, West ran 3 lines for a big part of the game.

Im not trying to take anything away from the NP goalie. When you shoot a puck are you supposed to pick your corners, and Lourdes was shooting the bread basket for quite a bit in the 3rd.

Lourdes was shooting right in the goalies bread basket all night though. At points the goalie looked like he was lost on the ice. Not to take anything away from him. It was a great game to watch.

West will take this one, with all the scoring power they have, and with superior goalie play from bruggeman, they can take anyone. Lourdes is a great team, with great speed and playmakers. If Lourdes doesn't run 3 lines with west they are done.
