MNHockeyFan is right.The MSHSL geographically realligns the sections via computer so every region of the state is represented in the state tournament.All sports are done the same.The only criteria used is geography.

The sections are realigned every two years and the two years is up.Usually announced in early spring and there aren't that many changes.

Players with college commitments have always been allowed to play in the Great 8.It's the team that was picked following that,that went on to the Chicago Showcase that excluded them.

So if a player did not intend to take a shot on goal and it went into the net ,it would not count as a goal ?

My understanding is that you can't vote for yourself so Silver Bay would have no choise but to vote Ely in at 8 out of 9 places if this is true.

Anyone running into scheduling problems for Tuesday february 5 because of state law that mandates that any game must be completed by 6pm.There have been a few chaanges up north because of this.
