To all Bison naysayers: Out of the ashes they rose What were they thinking skating so hard What were they thinking to be so bold They never looked back Traveling beyond all expectation Hockey became nothing but an adventure for them The mighty Bison will rise again and trample the Trojans before th...

Re: New jerseys in Burnsville
At least there 2nd and 3rd lines will look good.....ozzdan21 wrote:So apparently the Blaze got some new jerseys after last years state tourney run. They are kind of a knockoff of the boston bruins logo. They are sick nasty.
The team will also all wear matching clear cages on their helmets.

Kare11 Story on Lee back to Edina.
highly disagree with that comment about football section championship more beneficial to a hockey player than 100 hours of icetime... ya its beneficial for the football part of it... we do live in the hockey state here... If 100 hours of ice time is going to make or break this kid, he isn't good en...

football or hockey
First off, this is a very good disscussion. I am of the belief that when it is football season, it is football season. The elite leagues are designed around the cities kids that alot of the times are one sport athletes. It is great for the kids who don't play football or soccer to be able to be act...

Funny how people say because they don't play a double AA schedule. In the Schwanns Cup STA was dominating and up 3-1 until the end of third and lost in OT on a fluke goal. Yes a win is a win and they lost, but EDINA did not walk allover STA by any means. STA also played AA powers of Burnsville and ...

Anders Lee was late tonight for hockey. That's because he was at 7 on 7 football playing qb for EDINA. He then proceeded back to braemar where he belongs... on a nice big rink... AA.... real fans.... his old friends... girls... for hockey with EDINA. Everyone from St. Thomas, believe it. Anders is ...

Did the new transfer rules pass and get put into place? Where do his parents live right now? How is he getting around the residency rules? They have never moved from Edina, They sent Anders to STA in eighth grade. Thus they have not transferred under the old rule. In the end this was Anders decisio...

with STA loseing two of their key players I wouldn't be surprised if Lee thought about leaving.... He's a star at STA. He would be a second line center at Edina. He might not even make the first power play at Edina if he were to move back. He's got a lot of positive attention now. From an exposure ...

Congrats to the selected group of 16's...boblee wrote:Very strong, very impressive list.
What might be even more impressive is the list of 17's who completely dominated the 16's on the final day of 51's
13-0 8-2 and 9-3 The 90's are incredible deep and talented.

NOT ENOUGH PUCKS
I know this much....powerplay009 wrote:Anybody have any updates from the games this weekend?
For selects you need a lot more than one puck on the ice......... Sad but true.

Re: Anders Lee
Is he transferring to Edina next season??? Whats the scoop... As I have heard and understand, he would have no transfer penalty with either the existing rules or upcoming changes. Perhaps its time to let him enjoy his high school experience and be with his friends if that is what he wishes........ ...

Re: Edina 9
Dear Edina Hornetz9, As someone who has been rooting for Edina since the 1960s, I admire your enthusiasm. However, if you had been watching Edina, and hockey in general, for nearly 40 years you'd be far more circumspect and allow Edina to actually win the games on the ice instead of arrogantly proc...

Marshall should be able to take it, STA lacks the gamebreaker like Schroeder to break open a close game. If Marshall takes way space from STA's small quick forwards and play physical they should be in good shape. If STA has time and space to display their passing and puck skills it will be all STA....
