Slappy the GF herald is wrong
This Ricky chap made a boo-boo he made the mistake a good reporter shouldn't he didn't check his facts from more than one source, it did and does count. To be played it had to be sanctioned by the HS league. nuff said about that. Boy, I hope Scotty was misquoted in the trib cuz that wasn't the case ...

Yes it did count
And a win is a win. Couldn't have ended any better. With full contact this isn't even close; even as it was the bigger Warrior players were able to skate through the USA sticks. With the shinny rules applied the girls were able to keep it close good skaters not definitely faster like the trib quote....

Your missing the point
Warroad is being asked to sacrifice a regular season game, which clearly should be an exhibition game in the ways it will be played. The no-check gentlemen's agreement is wrong if the women want to be equal and they want to play young men then they should play young men in that style of play ie: ful...

Kind of surprising
I doubt it is going to be a blowout probably have to favor Roseau as the are ranked anywhere from about 25 places above Warroad and would be a 1.4 goal favorite according to both the logarithms. I believe these teams may kind of mirror each other. Good older players, some youth movement, solid goali...

Fair enough. Care to wager on the next Roseau v Warroad coming up next week. You get the G & W, I'll take the B & G and you give me 2 goals after all it is at the Memorial for a toddy after at the legion.<!--EZCODE EMOTICON START 8) --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/glasses...

Here it is mathrunner
Last year may have been one of Warroad's top five teams EVER. They are 6 - 3 - 2 now how's that a little above that's twice as many wins than losses. End of the month that may be different - this will be a tough & interesting January. Anybody that's trying to compare last year with this year can...

Re: Blur & Rhett & Jerome & Cooper and whoever
Nice first post remember birdmister that posted before is a former Ram that has officiated in Roseau and he was even asking WHAT in the Totino game. LOW probably did get chippy as they usually do after they get behind always have always will. Don't kid yourself both the Rams and the Youth teams get ...

Re: Boys vs Girls
In the games I've seen the Warriors play this season which is all but two of them they have been the more physical team. I find mathrunners comments about a tough season kind of stupid in all three losses Warroad has they have outshot their opponents and not put the coup de' grace to those teams. In...

Re: Blur & Rhett & Jerome & Cooper and whoever
Whoever was working it, it was an embarassment according to the old guys that still watch. Said Blur and Rhett were on the ice for sure couldn't remember who the other zebra was. In watching Rhett in action in the past it is possible he may have been the one with his arm up. But I see you didn't dis...

Blur & Rhett & Jerome & Cooper and whoever
Was talking with my dad after the Roseau - LOW game the other day told me his brother Jim was at the game and had never been as disgusted with Roseau reffing and those guys are Roseau guys through and through. Said there were 26 penalties in the third period alone in that game. Said that after Rosea...

A thread about a professional hockey player according to Llyod Braun this was a HIGH SCHOOL MESSAGE board. That was a dig to another poster in another thread. Great to see another guy with MN HS roots pull on an NHL sweater. Just reaffirms that young guys that work hard can make it coming through th...

I'm knocking TRF!
I'm gonna knock...maybe Scotty should check his ego at the door and let the REAL hockey mind/player in the family take the reigns. Hard to do it from behind the throne. He's had what...10 years and hasn't accomplished spit.<!--EZCODE EMOTICON START :o --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emotic...

I definitely ain't calling for anybodies head that would be unfair since these guys are trying to rebuild and it's still very early yet, lots of teaching to be done. But I do have to agree on that completely I would figure watching the Master for over 10 years something would rub off . Not only was ...

Re: You've gotta score to win.
But they haven't been able to establish the low cycle even before working it out to the D so it is a cause and effect and two-fold problem. I can't just blame the D for the teams perceived woes. We seem to forget this wasn't just a reloading year but a rebuilding year, lots of players need to gain c...

You've gotta score to win.
Stay back? Coach Eades used to stress the low cycle to create their scoring opportunities - the best defense is a strong offense. Where did that go....if your controlling play below the opponents goal line it's almost impossible to get scored against. They used to be the MASTERS of it and it seems t...

Here's a trick
If your a defensemen going in the corner to retrieve the puck and the opponents have been blasting you from behind (this was in the pre-CFB days)...to give yourself some more time you watch in the glass and the guys bearing down on you; place your stick blade solid perpendicular to the board and sli...
