I looked at everyones rankings for this week, and about only thing can say for sure is pretty much consensus on top two. And in most (but not all) top 5, but not necessarily in same order. Around Christmas, I started thinking that it was almost impossible at that point to distinguish #9-15, then as...

Im not surprised. Been waiting for them to break out a little more. Theyve got a top 10 metro junior, couple top 10 sophomores, probably the top freshman Jack Olsen, and from what Ive heard a reasonably solid base behind that. Havent been down to Highway 70 to Hasse this year, but I am interested i...

I have only seen Swail play a few times, but he has always looked solid in between the pipes.

I am more impressed with Jack Olsen's 17, than any of the above. jMO! Sorry Card fans! Agreed. LS plays a way tougher schedule than any other team noted above. They also have a larger pool of students (players) to draw from. It's all relative. Why diss the small schools? They play other small schoo...

WestMetro are you sure you aren't living in the south metro with Sats. You've gone off the deep end lately. I'd say the title for LN is best public school recruiting job the modern era. Maybe best parent support to turnover the program and prior coach. How about that 2-0 win over Eagan just last we...

Re: Jack McNeely commits to UNO

LN jr defenseman Jack McNeely commits to UNO. Congrats. He has a huge upside. Interested to see if he sticks at LN next year or goes and plays in USHL with Waterloo. For those of you counting that is 4 D-1 commits from LN's team this year. I do believe I said in January they had at least 7 players ...

I played in the Great 8 tournament in 2009. From the 8 sections, they picked one team to represent MN in the Chicago Showcase tournament, which I was fortunate enough to be a part of. Does anyone know if they still do this? As far as the venue goes, Wakota is a horrible rink to host this event. Can...

Math seems to be a problem for some North parents.....South enrollment of 1729 + North enrollment of 1732 equals 3461. Wayzata is the biggest school with an enrollment of 2979. Not exactly roughly the same. North's band was bigger than the North student section, Farmington's band was bigger than bo...

This is a definite possibility. I think the goaltending on both ends will be a huge factor in this game as well.

This should be a great game. EP will be looking for revenge after the ugly loss to LN earlier this season. My prediction is LN 4-2.

Not sure why everyone is so caught up about the transfers to LN. Look at it this way. If Lakeville had not split into two schools, they would have roughly the same enrollment as EP, Wayzata, etc. If you're truly concerned about kids in Lakeville losing an opportunity to play because of transfers, th...

The thing that I like most about LN is that they are a very balanced team. Although they don't have any players that are head and shoulders above the rest, the Poehling line has to be one of the best in the state. Their 2nd and 3rd lines are solid as well. LN's greatest attributes are their depth/ba...

Could be a better game than people might expect due to the cross town rivalry, but I think LN will ultimately get the W. South has a few skilled players but far less depth than LN.

The oddest part of this story is the the fact that these are intradistrict open enrollments, you'd think the South AD might want to figure out why so many of their kids are leaving. I think a key component in the players' decision to open enroll at LN has to do with South's current coach. That was ...
