Thanks for all the feedback guys. Love the discussion. I am just wondering how many of you have seen Ben Meyers 3+ times this year? I've watched him several and feel confident his talent is in comparison to Middlestatd. You're right, the unfortunate part is that he has a lot weaker schedule than EP...

I will say the point total compared to the last 5 looks like it is going to be way down from where it has been. Not to say he is better or worse than the others that have won, but it's interesting to think about. Tufte - 78 Points (47 G 31 A) Jaremko - 68 Points (22 G 46 A) Peterson - 65 Points (35...

Totally agree with you Green4 I think it should be earned through out the year. Casey is a very special talent and will probably make it to the NHL and and have a great career! The 6/7 times I watched him play this year he hasn't pulled me out of my seat a ton. Now maybe he is conserving energy for...

Re: Mr. Hockey...Is it unofficially decided too early?

Just looking for some opinions on what credentials should go into making the decision of Mr. Hockey? Do you think Casey Middlestadt was (unofficially) decided too early to be a slam dunk Mr. Hockey winner this year? I personally think they don't put enough stalk into player's actual senior season o...

Re: Four-team 'North-South Classic' tourney debuts next seas

A little strange that for the inaugural tournament they've chosen two teams (BSM and Brainerd) that are currently unranked...hopefully they'll be more competitive next year. Also puzzling is why they put the top two teams (Eden Prairie and Hermantown) in the same bracket :?: Otherwise I like the co...

Re: Seeding rules

No one uses QRF, and never will in boys hockey. The coaches all vote. They look at head to head. Sometimes it gets goofy when team A beats team B, team B beats team C, and team C beats team A. But most head to head is how it is done. If geographically it works, the head coaches have a meeting and d...

This is not a slight on Bville, because I think they will give STA everything they can handle in sections, but what is their signature win? They haven't beaten a top 20 team. And now rolling up wins against teams that aren't very good in their conference. Again, I like them, just saying I'd pump th...

I just noticed that tickets for this are $35 for this thing. I was at 2015's in St. Paul, and I can't remember exactly how much it was, but I think it was in the neighborhood of $15-20. Anybody know how they determined $35 for it this year? Free Schnapps for your coffee or something? I think that i...

Short JV players so you sent out an underclassmen for a JV period, and then Varsity goes into OT, and you try and play him in OT.

Does the other team have to call them out?

Johnson's still probably too high in this list... For now. Yes, they're 5-0-1 against AA, but 3 of those were against middle of the road teams (NSP, Woodbury, Eagan), and 3 weren't so hot (RJM, AHA, Hopkins). But, you play whoever's on the other side of the red line, and they're winning most of the...

I could be wrong but I read it as Marshall would beat those 3 schools (chaska, simley, slp) in all sports but hockey. I disagree, especially in football. So I guess it is an inaccurate statement to me (more PC worded). Correct, you did read it wrong, says PROBABLY in MOST sports, as Elliot pointed ou...

Teak: "Would probably beat those three schools in most sports, but not ice hockey." SLP was state runner up in 5A football. Maybe do a little research before making stupid statements. Marshall was also in the Semi's of State this year in 4A, don't think it was that outlandish of a stateme...
