Re: CEC HS Boys- Move to A?

Rumor I heard was Hibbing, Proctor, Denfeld and Rock Ridge were all going to move up to AA (I had thought RR was above the enrollment so didn't have a choice). Hibbing and Proctor stayed A. I heard Denfeld and RR went up to AA. Marshall stayed AA Blows my mind on Denfeld because they hardly have any...

Re: Week 7

I'm hearing of some girls and boys team cancelling either just the JV or both JV and varsity games due to kids being sick, etc. Is this true? I'm sure in covid times it's probably true; just don't remember this ever happening, say 5 years ago. Sorry, this probably isn't the right spot to post this.

I'd love to see Hermantown, Denfeld, Hibbing, and Rock Ridge all simultaneously announce that they're opting up to AA. That would restore Section 7AA to the way it's supposed to be.
=D> This would be great!

And. Duluth East hockey team/players are all extremely ill with influenza. They might not play any more regular season games. So there QRF would stay exactly the same.
East may not play any more regular season games? Really? There is still some season left isn't there?

Re: 7AA 2019-2020

I heard that Rapids is now in the LSC. Ashland got voted out and it looks like Rapids is in.

Kniven-how do you know there is unrest in the locker room? Are you in the locker room witnessing it first hand or is it rumors?

So. What’s this section going to look like this winter? Mirage, Marshall, Hibbing, CEC in that order?

I posted this in July with 4 total responses to date. Sad 😐
First off, it was in July. Second maybe it's not because of the subject.

Re: McLeod, W. Shaver & Matvick To Call Tourney

The woman this afternoon could learn something from this Shaver guy. And Parrish, maybe a coach has another plan than keep it simple. Keep it simple...and how many times in that 1st period of Delano vs. Greenway did he say how great Delano's defense is? How they are ok playing with a 1 goal lead, t...

Classic Lee reverse hex. 😀 Not a hex just a diehard purple CEC fan lookin at the positives. 15-8 the rest of the way is pretty good. Get a top 4 seed, learned from our season ups and downs, and be healthy and rolling when playoffs hit. Not like last years flippin debockle at Grand Rapids the last g...

Re: High School football

Oldtimer--
Why is Rapids football not very good? With them being a bigger school in 4A I would think they would have more numbers. Is it the better athletes just play hockey? Hermantown, I don't believe, have hockey kids out for the team. Cloquet doesn't have hockey players.

Just curious

Re: 7A

So what's the early summer pre-season ranking for this section. I haven't got a clue. No interest in 7A girls high school hockey. Ok. Proc-Herm, Hibbing, and maybe Cloquet -- thats it... Marshall too much turmoil and defection to push Wouldn't Marshall be one of the top teams? What turmoil / defect...

Re: Cloquet drama

WOW....... and If they allow that to happen! What a gong show. It will be interesting. Not sure what is better for the kids, but at least systems wise, the consistency will help them take another step forward. If they give him his job back, look for Cloquet to be a top 10 team in the state. This is...

It seems 7AA is going to be very predictable this year with Andover, Duluth East, and CEC to 3 going into section playoffs . The 4 seed battle will be fun to watch unfold. Andover and CEC don’t play head to head so that’s lame. And Elk never plays us in the regular season. Cloquet playing a nightma...
