Congratulations to Hill Murray for a great season. They would be an excellent representative at the state tournament--a class operation all around and are a lot of fun to watch. They'll be a force in 4AA for the next couple years for sure.

No, just the opposite. That's why the Section finals (and in the case of Section 4AA, the semifinals) are so great. Now is when all the rivalries are played out: Blake-Breck, Minnetonka-Hopkins, Warroad-Roseau (formerly), Roseville-Stillwater, HM-WBL, Irondale-Moundsview, Edina-EP, GRG-CEC, etc. 4AA...

The only problem with having an award for top defensive player is that usually it goes to the defenseman with the best offensive performance. I've never seen an award for the best defensive stay-at-home defenseman. Like the Defensive Player of the Week award in the WCHA either goes to a goalie or el...

I'm a fan of the T'Breds and I'm very happy there is this option for the girls in the Twin Cities. Yes, most of them are from Wisconsin or from small or 'non-accomplished' programs from Rochester to St. Cloud. It's a great thing. But I've watched them enough to form the opinion that a game with two ...

..... Roseville played White Bear last night and the level of play was not even close to the JWHL league play last weekend. ... I can't stand idiotic subjective comments that just get thrown out there like that and us rubes are supposed to accept them. So I'll call BS on this one. Yes, the T'Breds ...

I'll go with these: SECTION: http://www.bgoski.com/KRACH_SEC.htm I can't find a significant win for Bemidji. Does Krach use the ranking of the defeated team at the time of the game played, or the current rank? For instance, Bemidji beat both GRG and NWC when they were ranked in the top 15. But as o...

I understand she's a very good goalie. But excuse me (and a lot of others I know feel this way) if I don't fawn over these stats coming from THIS team against THAT competition, when the team's top scorers are getting their 3rd and 4th goals of games late in the 3rd period of 16-0 blowouts. After che...

I like it--"The BIG Deal". I've never seen a player like her, with the combination of hands, vision, strength, smarts. And she's deceptively quick, if nothing else through great effort. Hardest worker on the ice, with the puck, without, backcheck, forecheck. She makes plays that nobody else would at...

If you go by the official stats they face an average of 15 shots against. I think we all know that shots on goal numbers are exagerated. I was at one Roseville game where the legit shots were around 17 but the rink person credited them with 28. On top of that how often does Roseville allow a second...

I know the coach was put in a tough situation from the beginning. I also know he's a good guy and a good hockey guy, but there were many raised eyebrows from the start when the program hired a dad coach/former youth coach who was maybe too close to the girls and parents--probably for this very reaso...

Yes Melvin, I've stayed out of this subject mostly, I didn't want to pile on. But please never compare what's going on at WB with Roseville or Stillwater. R & S have real coaches with real control over their teams--there's NO WAY it takes either one of them until the 18th game of the season to BEGIN...

Hill Murray 6 Tartan 0 H. Brandt played second line (had hat trick). Third line scored two goals. Who did H Brandt play with? Why would it matter. They played Tartan. Wow, lets get some substance going here and talk some real hockey. Uh, that's exactly the kind of thing that's interesting that you ...
