Not sure what is going on. I know that for the 17 section 6A/AA tryouts there were not enough players trying out to even roster the compliment of 18 skaters. Everyone who tried out made it. This from the section with large schools like Minnetonka, Wayzata, Maple Grove and the powerhouse Benilde.

So the high school league is charging people to watch the games online this year? I thought it was free last year. Why the change?

I think this really depends on where you play. For us, the JV hockey is pretty competitive, almost every game, and the young players are playing against girls 1-3 year older. With possibly more in the pipeline. Minnetonka's U14 A team won the state tournament this past year. Looks like the program remains strong for the near future anyways.
