HM 3 - Edina 1 Good game with the Pie-n-ears looking as if they havent lost too much from last year. Can't knock Zepeda anymore for not going into corners. He did that a number of times tonight - successfully. Biggest difference maker of the game was goaltending. Phillipi's successor was a wall. (so...

Here's something most dont know... unless you are like Govs and have the 10 CD boxed set of jingles for your easy listening pleasure Barry Manilow worked as a commercial jingle writer/singer. He penned many of the jingles that he performed, including those for: Bowlene Toilet Cleaner - "bathroo...

As usual, strength of schedule gets everyone's hopes up mid season. Gopers get a pass this yr with no Penn St nor Mich State. That still wont be enough to contend for the Big10 though. This weekends NW loss is a sign of things to come.

As the lawyer slowly came out of the anesthesia after surgery, he said, "Why are all the blinds drawn, doctor?"

"There's a big fire across the street," the doctor replied. "We didn't want you to think the operation had been a failure."

God decided to take the devil to court and settle their differences once and for all.

When Satan heard this, he laughed and said, "And where, my friend, do you think you're going to find a lawyer?"

Govs- The prices scalpers charge run the spectrum. Good ole supply/demand at work. I'd guess that primo seats could get face from a scalper as they will likely turn a profit. Anything else and I suspect you'd take a sizable hit. Craigslist is easy and might be a better avenue if you don't want to st...

Ticket Scalpers

I had the misfortune of being on the wrong end of a ticket scam. Thought I would share as a notice for all. During the WCHA playoffs a couple weeks ago, on a spur of the moment the wife and I spent Saturday in St. Paul. Did the Liffy for lunch and checked out some local wares. Bought some primo cent...

I don't think these "dont buy gas next Tuesday" or boycott a particular station type activities make any difference. It used to be that a summons to capital hill and the threat of a congressional investigation into price fixing would do the trick. That doesnt even seem to have an impact an...

I saw that you needed an assist my hockey friend. The second assist, like always on the Roso scoring sheet, goes to #10.

Call it physical or thug hockey. Either way- I love the way Hill played Roso and Edina. Way too may “purests” out there who want to see nothing but a skating/stick handling affair. Body checking has its place in hockey and Hill’s championship was a timely poke in the eye to all the pansies and moder...

But whats the thing with spelling defenseman with a "c". The "defenceman" spelling looks wrong to me but I've seen a number of other people do the same. What's up with that?

The name "fringe benefit" came to be when medical insurance was a blip on a company's balance sheet. It was literally pennies per employee. Nowadays, medical insurance and other fringes can equate to almost half of the average worker's pay. You wont like this Tom but an employee cost of $1...
