The 1967 Greenway/Johnson game is on YouTube
I wouldn't mind watching the 1984 quarterfinal game with Johnson and Hill-Murray

The Pioneers have also had some outstanding players from the Park-Cottage Grove system. Just recently Pierre, Palodichuk, and Helgeson have all come from there.
Didn't Helgeson come from Roseau? And then the family lived in Lake Elmo?

Re: Section 4AA 20-21

Including sections Lleyton Roed had a total of 52 points this season, if he doesn't come back the next highest point total returning would be Ethan Moerke who had a total of 14 points this year. Besides Roed and Moerke the Bears only return 3 players who scored a goal, Tyler Bishop is the only othe...

There are too many "upsets" to count for my favorite team.

I think the one that stands out to me most recently would be 2005 when WBL, led by Ryan Braun and David Grun got upended by unranked Duluth East.
That was Justin Braun and now playing for the Flyers in the NHL.

They said in the telecast he is ill.
Ill - but yet he's on the bench.

Willard Ikola - Coach Greg Stuttgart - Goalie Ryan McDonagh - Defense Henry Boucha - Defense Mike Antonovich - Forward Dave Spehar - Forward John Mayasich - Forward Can’t argue with any of the picks except one, in my opinion. Did McDonagh’s parents have a vote? 1 tourney and 5 total points? Can’t s...

Lakeville South 5, WBL 3 Quote from one of WBL posters the past 2 state tournaments - "0-2 BBQ". WBL out played Lakeville South today. But once again spotted them a 3 goal lead they couldn't over come. Will be interesting to see the Bears next year... White Bear will be fine again next season.

No complaints here with the announcers.
No complaints here either, and that includes the fine job that Sloane Martin did in the Class A afternoon quarterfinals.

My only complaints are with Lou Nanne and Wally Shaver. Both are a pain to listen to.

Hill Murray losing to Rapids in 1980, 2-1, out shooting Rapids by 2-1 margin. Hill's only loss that year I think.
Could have been devastating for Hill-Murray fans, but not for anyone else. It was great to see as Hill was overrated that entire season.

Unreal! How many Brodzinskis are out there? And are they all D1 players? Are they all brothers? Is this unprecedented that so many brothers are D1 players? I suppose you have the Brotens.
There are only four Brodzinski's.

WBL should still be good the next two years, but after that you may see more of a decline. The senior group from WBL for next year if I remember right won state as Bantams. They have some notable departures, but enough talent between the JV and some solid players from the bantam level to supplement...

No Brian Bonin (White Bear Lake), Tom Gorowsky (Centennial), or even any of the four Peltier's (Skip, Ron, Doug & Bob) from St. Paul Johnson in the 60's and early 70's is surprising as well.
