I have no idea what the official plans are for CrL and ChL. Honestly, I don't. We just know factually what roster they were on at the end of the season, and it wasn't 03 Blades. So while ranking 03s we ranked them #2. We will wait until rosters print next Spring. Now would all of the 03 Orange pare...

St. Luke's Icebreaker is the top youth girls hockey tournament in the country, bar none. Schwag and top competition in a great setting. Fargo is ok, but not in the same league... Gone to Duluth for the last 4 years. Very fun tourney. I have friends that run it. BUT, at 1500bux for 3 games, our asso...

Northhockey8, I couldn't agree more with the Edina girls hockey program issuing an apology for their behavior at the State Tournament. If I could write it for them it would go something like this: Dear 12UA State tournament teams, Thanks for an incredible tournament and some out of this world games...

Seeing I'm part of D8 and I know why this is happening AND my son is on one of the teams listed, I might as well comment. They have had a hard time, in the past, getting teams to participate in the end of the year playoffs. Been going on for awhile. Teams would plan on, for the year, playing close t...

All District and Regional Tourney's should be a linesman and two Ref's. For pete's sake we play two ref's all year. You get to the meat of the season and we play one ref who try's to watch 10 kids spread out of over a 180x90 + space.... You use 2 ref system for bantam A during the season? Yep, D8.

On the B1 tournament. I would ask if Lakeville misrepresented their team as being an A team? If not, did the tournament willingly accept a B team for an A tournament? Can District Director approve this like they can for specific games? Would seem to me if the tournament host association admitted a ...

Carter Batchelder should be playing A for EP. He was hurt during tryouts and because he played MNMade was disadvantaged by the Made haters on the EP Board. I would not rule out Roseau in the 14A. They have a solid team and I hope they will have one of their top players back that has been out for 2 weeks. They have a very tough pool for sure so they will test and get tested. Roseau is a very good team, but like a few other top teams; Edina Green, ER, E...

Re: Referee your own kid's game

Was at this peewee aa LEAGUE game the other night, and rumor went that one of the two on-ice referees was one of the goalie's dad. Kids on ice went like that the 'dad' would get really mad if the other team crashed on the goalie. From the stand, the referees did an average job, and that is not the ...

U14A updates/scores

I know there was a few threads last year and I also
know it's still a little early, but was just wondering about
14A teams.
Any early season highlights? Teams dominating to start
the year? Scores? Was this year a big year for HS's
needing girls?
Thanks and discuss.

Re: Playing outside of your association

What is the cutoff date for requesting a waiver to play in a different association? I am curious because my son's association looks like they will probably be cutting a solid 13+ kids. If that happens it would be nice to be able to move him to another association, if possible. Not sure on a cutoff ...

I see no "logical" reason to have open tryouts -- Who is the only one that benefits in that scenario? Certainly not the kids -- even if it makes no difference to the kids. In closed tryout, I don't believe any kids is out there saying to themselves "boy I wish my parents were here to watch". In the...
