Re: New Body Contact Rules

If the game is called consistently and correctly there is no need for self policing.
There will always be a need to self police whether its baseball, football and hockey. Hell, there is a need to self police when I drive my car to work sometimes. GB

Re: New Body Contact Rules

You are onto a peeve of mine. I'll watch the video later. A kid will go near the boards, get the puck and turn his back. Someone who was going to body him off the puck will push him to the wall from behind on the number. Parents yell, "that's a check from behind!" Well, the kid couldn't check him f...

Re: Moving to Minnesota for HS Hockey

So why don’t you move to Dassle Cokato. Oh wait, because it’s all about you. SSC, sorry I didn't answer your question. Answer: Because my kid is a very good hockey player and when I asked him if he wanted to play hockey at Dassle Cokato or Edina, he said, "Dad I love hockey and thanks for giving me...

Re: Moving to Minnesota for HS Hockey

If my kid is a good hockey player and I have the flexibility to move to Minnesota and work for Target, 3M etc or work from home, I'm going to move to Edina, Wayzata, EP, Maple Grove. If the wife and other siblings and most of all the hockey player impacted are on board, there is nothing wrong with t...

Re: Transfers for 2019-20 season

Yea, I traveled last winter and spring following his squad. It cost me a divorce, I'm now broke and I spent four days snowed in at Whistler, but heck I love hockey so I'm ok with that. Great hockey they play in the Bay Area. During groupie travels in watching his team, I noticed a 12 year old playin...

Re: 2019 HP U17 or U16 Boys Rosters?

My name's Louden. Last week I turned 18. I wasn't ready for it. I haven't done anything yet. So I made this deal with myself. This is the year I make my mark. No, I'm just the victim of a screwed-up nitrogen imbalance. Plus, I think I've contracted priapism. What a blast to the First Amendment! The ...

It worked fine for the kids and only seemed to bother a few parents, likely the ones lobbying to get rid of the single class state tournaments.

Cake, I will bet you two rounds of golf at Interlachen that Boltmann doesn't go to Blmgtn to play Juniors next year. In fact If he does go to Bloomington I will treat you to two rounds at Spring Hill. Bet? GB

Re: Checking in bantams

I think whatever age checking is done for youth hockey should be the first time kids can use non-wooden sticks. Take the cost out of hockey! The use of wooden sticks will save at least $2K per player who enters Bantams. It won't set back any development for the kids. GB
