Re: 7AA 2019-2020

I'm sure Duluth would love to host Can’t do that. The northern teams would always win every single year due to home ice advantage. Could rotate it between Duluth and the cities. Then every other year you’ll have a northern team and a southern team as section champs since the home team always wins t...

Re: 7AA 2019-2020

Just a thought on 7AA now with 8 competitive teams, meaning no more 14-0 blowouts of Cambridge, I think a lot of fans would love to see a quadruple header like 4AA does with their quarterfinal games all in one day at Aldrich. I know teams like to have one last home game for QF, but it sure would be ...

Re: 7AA 2019-2020

DJ: You were so sure it was going to happen. I asked if you would care to elaborate and your response was "No." Bottom line - your source was bad I couldn't and still don't want to, even though it would validate why I had reason to put some trust in what I was told. Given where it came from I have ...

That was never going to happen.
With all due respect, my info was from a source more credible than yourself.
Yes, really credible.
Again, at the time. At the time. Can you read?

DJ: Not only did you miss on Brainerd to 7AA, you missed on your Andover prediction to 5AA. It’s possible my info was correct at the time and mshsl meetings/conversations changed that info. That was never going to happen. With all due respect, my info was from a source more credible than yourself.

Re: 7AA 2019-2020

Welp, not sure what happened in the last month with the Brainerd thing. Anoka in, St. Francis and Cambridge to 5A. Nonetheless, no more super easy game for the 1 seed in 7AA. No more play-in game. 4 southern teams, 4 northern teams. Not sure how I'd rank the teams next year since I don't know anythi...

Re: 7AA 2019-2020

The Hounds are going to need to re-establish themselves as a team that can score. Will they have a player, perhaps Jeanetta, that can be the horse they can rely on? It seems to get to state you not only need an aforementioned great goalie, you also need that elite guy that can snipe a 35' shot into ...

Re: 7AA 2019-2020

This is the 2nd year of a 3 year stretch where Cloquet won the Bantam North Regional, I wouldn't sleep on them. I think Knivens boys go south next March! I like Cloquet, but I feel like this is the 4th year in a row of hearing this. Would love to see Cloquet be like in 06-07 years when they had as ...

Re: 7AA 2019-2020

Going to be interesting to see if Grand Rapids can score high in the QRF this year. They’ll have Benilde, Holy Family, WBL, Wayzata, Hill Murray, Maple Grove, Minnetonka, Forest Lake and even Duluth East at home. Edina Classic will be their only trip to the cities. This is assuming no changes to opp...

Re: AA Consolation: Duluth East vs Lakeville South

I wonder if the TRIA rink Minnesota Wild practice arena would be a better venue for the consolation games? That would definitely be interesting, and I think it would be a fun atmosphere. I'm curious how long the contract is for with Mariucci. If we are going to kick the wild out of their home games...

How old are you stanleycup? Obviously you do not remember Tier 2. It rewarded failure. I have no problem with redesigning the system to allow smaller, weaker programs but Tier 2 di not promote anything but losing. coaches going into a game, players going into a game thinking it is not important to ...

Re: Duluth East at Andover, Section 7AA Final

Or Duluth Marshall could improve to a top 4 team in 7AA. I’ve heard a rumor that Andover might get moved and replaced with Brainerd. That would make for one hell of a semifinal Saturday. Brainerd is a growing hockey community and has the stability at head coach to be relevant for a long time. They h...

NHC is a garbage rink and St. Cloud is an even worse town. Lol, you act like going to Duluth in February is like going to Valhalla. I mean, yeah it is better than St. Cloud, but not enough to write about it this much Beats the heck out of going to Edina I can assure you that. x1000. Again people, g...

Re: Duluth East at Andover, Section 7AA Final

I think most Metro TEAMS THAT PLAY at Amsoil, love the Amsoil venue. Home of the Bulldogs- Next best thing to the X. Traveling Students/community to be more engaged and make the trip and 'equal' the local fan base. The only negative is the 2 hour drive if the roads are bad. Teams that play better, ...

What would happen if they moved the 7AA final to the X? You guys complaining about homefield advantage for DE, check out the unfairness of 6A. And that home ice advantage wasn't a problem for Trent Klatt and co. National Hockey Center (St Cloud) those coach bus rides are nothing for the Hounds 😉 is the LOGICAL neutral site, at least bi-annually. WDIO might even have broadcast trucks they could drive up there ☝️ Even with the renovation, the NHC can't hold a candle to Amsoil. Plus, who WANTS to be in St. Cl...
