Who is #8 and #3?
Checked the MSHL site and #15 for EP is Erik Soderberg and #12 for AHA is Britton Smith. But neither #8 is listed for EP and same for #3 for AHA. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Attendance
There are only 7 teams out of 20 that are averaging over 1000. It might be that all the ticket holders don't come. Just a guess.

NAHL Showcase
Hockey heaven - watch hockey all day for $15.00. Great exposure for many players to be seen by the NHL and college scouts. Minnesota is well represented, especially the Fargo, Bismarck, Minnesota, Southern Minnesota, and the North Iowa teams. Game times and stats can be viewed on <!--EZCODE AUTOLINK...

Jay Barriball
The Elite League is an excellent choice for the player that doesn’t want to leave high school early to play Juniors. I guess I don’t understand why Barriball would be staying at Holy Angels for another year, instead of moving on to the USHL. It certainly sounds like he can compete or is the USHL now...

Juniors or High School
The upside to playing Junior A is that you play 60 plus games in a season verses 30 for Minnesota High School. However, depending on the teams schedule for games/practices/off ice conditioning it takes a very good student to balance both. If you want to play in the USHL your chances are best if you ...

Is the Tenders List posted some where? And what's the difference between getting drafted and being tendered? What are the advantages or disadvantages?

Russo Jr.
Would like to see Russo Jr. apply for the job. He coached the JV team two years ago, and would of liked to help with Varsity, but Weisjahn had his loyalities to Lloyd. I also think he lives in Orono.

St. Olaf
I would bet that most of these players are picking St. Olaf for the academics, and then hockey, as it should be. These players are smart enough to know that the education they receive will pay the bills, and not their hockey. Also, St. Olaf's campus is absolutely beautiful, and the players will spen...

Re: Taylor Matson
If that's the case, then leaving Orono for Holy Angels has paid off for him. I just think it's a shame that players have to leave their school, home, friends, family to pursue their hockey goals.

Edited by: 2DaRink...

I agree with the "chippy and grab" game. There is way too much of that allowed by the refs/coaches, and frankly I find it unexciting and boring hockey to watch. It doesn't take a lot skill for someone to hold or interfere with play. I hope this game gives us a fast and furious, clean and e...

Rink Rats
I read somewhere that the kids in Centennial do a alot of skating outdoors in backyard rinks, and etc. I believe that is the reason they are successful - they encourage their parents to build and maintain outdoor ice for their players. The kids learn more, have more fun, and don't have coaches telli...

A few girls parents are turning fans off
It's too bad that the few girls parents that file these lawsuits can't see that they are hurting girls hockey more than helping. Why does a small minority get to represent the majority. Could the majority go file a lawsuit against them, because they're turning people off of girls hockey.

<...

Joe, I don't know how many of Orono's players are Catholic, but their two Captains, Eric Fleming and Pat Dynan are Catholic boys from Holy Name and St. Barts. They are both from very Irish Catholic families and Eric has 3 brothers and Pat has 4 brothers.

Elite Leaque
Josh Pauer had no choice but to look at Juniors after the Elite Tournament. Josh has used up his 4 year high school eligibility. He repeated the ninth grade and wanted nothing more than to stay at Orono for his senior year and graduate here in Minnesota. The Pauer's went before the State High School...
