Didn't a highly touted #1 seed Eveleth team get beat in the quarters in the late 90's after a deep run at state the previous year? Need a "Ranger" to help me out. Either way congrats to Apollo. Seems like a program that has gone through a lot lately. In the late 90's Wayzata was one of the...

Winona is not close to last years team, lost too much talent. They do get top 2 players back in January after serving suspensions. Will make them better overall. Final standings for the Big 9 this season? 1. Century 2. (tie) Albert Lea West 4. John Marshall 5. Owatonna 6. Mayo 7. Faribault 8. Winona...

Well 13 goals given up the last two games against Irondale and Albert Lea. I would put a big YES!!!!!!...

You are correct. Coach Nadeau has retired and coaches decided to use Hockey Hub as scoring source from what I am being told. Too bad. Was a great site for all info on Big 9. Does anyone know what is happening with the Big 9 hockey web site? http://sports.smumn.edu/bignine/ This site was loaded with ...

Are you sure Tigers33? I was under the understanding that coaches cannot even be in the building. Would put pressure on athletes(especially those in fall sports) to attend. That would violate the HS League policy of making, or appearing to make out of seaon practices mandatory. Coaches are allowed t...

If not, probably 7th or 8th. 6. John Marshall 7. Mankato West 8. Winona 9. Mankato East 10 Austin Faribault or Albe...

I have seen both teams play this season. I believe that Mayo ends the streak here in a big way. I have a feeling everyone gets home early... 7-1 Mayo

Re: Owatonna 09-10 season?

I agree with Davey. Look at this years team. Did very well early, both against conference teams and non-conference. Second place in Schwans Cup. Then fell apart. Lost 6 of last 7 games with the only win being against Austin. Kids stopped playing hard. Coaching? Seemed to be a different team at end o...

JM has a couple of JR's but 3/4 of there team couldn't make a team north of Farmington! Mankato East and AL will be strong and Century will find a way to win. MW and Austin won't be able to beat a B Bantam team. The rest I'm not sure on. Mankato East?? They have one or two decent players. No goalte...

Coop's count all students in the schools involved. They used to count percentages but have gone to all students attending.
