The JM girls that skated with Faribault in the fall said that both Bergland, Walker (& North?) are hurt. How bad? How long will they be out of action? Who steps up?

It is a "penalty". The penalty for breaking the rules is 2 minutes. It has been like this for years and years. If you do not want to sit for 2 minutes do not break the rules. I could understand it for younger mites and maybe squirts, but not for PeeWee and Bantams. Youth and high school p...

The metro league is intended to address the retention problem. This is highlighted in the ADM initiative. Why would anyone criticize any attempt to keep these kids involved in hockey and out of trouble? At one time we had 11+ bantam teams and 5 or more midget teams. Now my association has no Jr. Gol...

We watched Ruzinski played for Mayo before she went to the TBs so I'd guess she's still enrolled there.

Rocket 78 - Where do you get your information? I don't believe the Dodge County position has been officially opened yet by the cooperating schools, and the change is probably coming from within for just one year. Probably should leave this one alone until official word has been released. I have a f...

Re: warmbody

My advice: Have your kids play with their schoolmates where ever you decide to live. Most teams in D6 are always good along with Wayzata and Maple Grove in D3. If your in the Northern Metro (D10), Blaine is the clear leader with Centennial close behind. Both have access to many rinks. East side (D2...

It is legal for 18 year olds to drink in Mexico. I've seen quite a few 16 year olds served alcohol in Mexico also. In Wisconsin, an 18 year old can legally drink in a bar if there with his/her parent I've been told. I think if you can walk in Mexico you can drink. If you stumble you can still drink...

JM/L ran out of gas again. Lost 3-2 after having a lead again. Same kind of thing happened in Winona game. Is it mental? Pretty much means seed 8.

Yes, it was at Ridder before the move to the Excel. The move was driven by lawsuits filed by some hockey parents. Don't know for sure but heard that the plaintiffs kids never made it to State so it is kind of an interesting twist. Ridder was a great venue since it was packed to the rafters. I took m...

2176, A couple of the "dads" said that Winona only dresses 2 lines and plays a grinder game. They just work hard. Their description was that Winona was not flashy but played a very defensive game and took advantage of mistakes. They said that Mayo played the backup goalie and there were mu...

Missota is an 8 team conference so you use (2x7) 14 games out of your 25 game total for conference play. This leaves those teams with a tournament and then 8 non-conference games. If the Big 9 (10 teams) did this they would need (2x9) 18 games for conference play leaving only one tournament and then...

Was looking at the formats on line and it looks really interesting for 14B & 14A. At 14B hey are taking odd seeds from league south and even seeds from league north to form the National Region and they reverse that for the American Region. 14A has a similar split. Hmmm, it looks like the MNHocke...

Buffalo has a huge student population to draw from. They have Buffalo, Delano, Rockford, Howard Lake-Waverly, and Maple Lake. Add up those five school districts and you're at approximently 3000 students. For the record..not one player from Rockford, Howard Lake-Waverly or Maple Lake. The co-op is e...

DMD80, No names please but how are the JM/L future stars doing? I think we could have used the help this year! Why are you going to WBL on a weeknight? Congrats on the win. My sons played WBL a few times and they were always fast and physical.

I heard that 14B is ranked. Good for them.

Will this game be on internet Radio? Do any local stations do that?

Counting on DMan for a p-by-p.
