East /Cloquet
Wade Salzman, a junior, was the goalie for Duluth East that year. He went on to play at Nortre Dame. I was at that game and it was a great one. There was a lot of skill on both teams. East ended up blowing a 2 or 3 goal lead (I think)to Hill-Murray in the State title game. <p></p><i></i>

East-Brainerd
GR19,They did beat east in 2002. That was Licari's senior year. <br>The 7AA title game will be East- Elk River. I hate having Elk River in 7AA. It's just unnatural. <p></p><i></i>

Re: I hear ya
I didn't have a lot of money. They let us in because we pay them a lot of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Student loan payments are about 400 a month for the next 20 years. Damn thirsty Thursdays at Tiffs and Plums! <p></p><i>Edited by: <A HREF=http://p074.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserPublicPr...

benchminor 44 , you would have many seats to choose from if this were the final. It is going to be a rematch of the last two section finals. With the same outcome. <p></p><i></i>

At least 100 points
His junior year he had 27 goals and 62 assists for 89 points. I'm pretty sure he would have had 100 plus points. Cloquet fans would know better but I believe he had some other good returning players. He made the right move by going to the Canadian juniors. He was too good to play against high school...

State!
Why would he go to Rapids? He doesn't want to be the section 7AA runner up. He probaly wants to go to the state tournament. So he should go to East or Hibbing. <p></p><i></i>

No Talent?
Cloquet98, If you have been following that program you should know about teams with no talent. Cloquet is known for hard work not talent. With the obvious exceptions.I think the East team from 2003 had a lot of talent. It just took awhile to jell as a team. They had quite a few players who should be ...

Gr Mr. Hockey finalists
Do you think they actually have 3 candidates for Mr. Hockey? They should have done much better this year if that was the case. I think GR19's optimism is starting to spread like a plague up there.<br> Wheeler or Oshie will get it. Both should have tons of points playing A when everyone knows they sh...

Sections
Jazzcat, would these be one team sections? Or automatic berths into the state tournament or would you have them play someone to get there? How about they have no playoffs just put in the top 8 teams? Lets see you have section 2,3, and 4 taken by the automatic berths. How about section 6 Edina,section...

He did look a lot better before his injuries, obviously. I liked his style of play. Most players who score a bunch of points tend to be soft. He is not soft at all . He will be really solid at UW. <p></p><i></i>

The supposed weak section 7 did alright this year. Two third place trophies are not to bad. They both beat some good metro teams in their respective games. <p></p><i></i>

If you were not trying until the third period your just plain stupid. Hibbing deserved everything the got. (Third Place )THEY even tried the whole game. What a lame excuse for losing a game. <p></p><i></i>

I heard he was fired because he wasn't good with the kids.Which is totally not true. All the players except one goalie who didn't play much are pissed off. Can't blame them, they lose one of the top coaches in the state and then hear the name Jack Shearer as a replacement.Looks like East is going to...
