Re: Redistricting meeting
Wow. That's not what I'm stating at all, Crazy7s. You obviously haven't been paying attention to what MN Hockey has already done with the playoff system. They have limited each district to two teams at the regionals next year and will be shifting which district play in each of the regionals on a yea...

Re: Redistricting meeting
Elliot70,

It sounds like you're back to square one on redistricting if you are having discussions such as A/AA. Personally, I think it is imperative to have some competitive balance in the districts so that certain districts are not considerably weaker than others on a consistent basis. You g...

Yes, they do send everyone a letter. All letters were sent late last week, so everyone should have theirs by today or tomorrow at the latest.

Re: Fr/So Dev. camp v. Advanced 15
Amazing. This situtation is indicative of everything that is wrong with girls hockey in the state of Minnesota. For years, people whine that Minnesota Hockey doesn't provide the same opportunities for girls as it does for boys - such as the Advanced 15.

No sooner is this opportunity provided ...

Seriously? Head contact has been a point of emphasis the past couple of years...at least on the boys' side. I've seen it called quite a bit.

Re: Select 14's
I don't know who would be organizing a Select 14 - it's not Minnesota Hockey. When it was proposed to the Minnesota Hockey Board last fall it was voted down by something in the neighborhood of a 26-0 margin.

Just their games. No playoffs, state tourney or anything like that. Basically, the JV season ends (for all intents and purposes) when teams play their final regular season games.

JV rankings are not done by any official outlet. JV stats are also not reported to any official outlet. Individual teams may keep JV stats, but that's about it.

Re: Handshake after the game
If it is a handslap after the game and not a sincere handshake, that is a coaching issue. Unfortunately, I have seen and coached against other coaches who treat the post-game handshake as if they were a five year-old who just had his lollipop taken away. And hoe do you think their players act (and r...

Re: Ratings
Say what you will about LPH, but they have some well-respected AA coaches that submit their rankings on a weekly basis. These are some of the same coaches that many of you tout as being brilliant. So they are the "dumb" ones as it turns out. <img src=http://www...

Take a look at the front page of today's Strib or elsewhere on these boards about the topic of open enrollment and recruiting. Understand that I do not believe his inte...
