the only rankings i care about are the 8 teams still standing in march. other than that i don't get my rocks off on rankings like a few on this site. i mean really...who cares and what does it matter? Well, there have been 26 responses to Karl's AA ratings this week, with over 4,000 views. It's pre...

Star Trib All-Metro team typically seems like a "popularity" contest every year and yes, BodyShots, the Press will have a much diff team as they always do.....Any guesses on Metro Player of the year? Who really cares? All-metro whatever...there is not much sense to it; likewise the weekly ranking o...

The only problem I see so far is that I don't think that class 'A' should be less then half of 'AA'. Sure, teams can opt up but there is no way you can say Warroad is a lesser program because they don't opt up. We all know they could make the 'AA' tourney quite often, but it would come down to them...

Warroad 4 Roseau 1 final I guess being AA doesn't automatically make you better Wow! I must say I was a bit shocked to see the score. I didn't expect it, since Warroad seems to be a bit down this year--more so than Roseau, I thought. Good thing I was too busy to listen to the game last night... The...

That's what they said about Tonka last year (myself included) and Edina the year before that...everyone has a shot at State at this point in the season. Teams with less "star" talent have a better shot because they play better as a team when it counts. One of the most intelligent posts I have read ...

Re: Hornets/Rams

While I think it would be extremely hilarious for Edina to lose in the quarterfinals against a Section 8 team for the 2nd year in a row that they were supposedly "heavily favored" to beat (according to some), I have to think Giles will have his team more than ready and motivated so history doesn't ...

simple fact moorhead has one chance togo to state in the next four years and thats next year only. so get ready for a loooooong drought in spudville. I think "the dog" is correct. Next year, the Spuds will probably beat up on the Sheep (that is, unless Lundbohm, Broten, and Erickson can somehow eng...

The only high school sport that I felt creepy watching was girls volleyball. I coached the girls team at my school for several years, so I used to go watch the better high schools play to get ideas for improving my squad. Basically, in the stands were (1) parents of players, (2) boyfriends (just a ...

But its not only about who is a better pro prospect. Aaron Ness won the award over Jake Gardiner but Gardiner was the better prospect. Its not just NHL scouts that vote. Its also people in the media who argue that a class A hockey team is no better than a class AA jv team. Warroad is as good as any...

I'd take Jake Gardiner over both of them. You're on the wrong side of the St. Croix than  Actually I live in Minneapolis and am a huge gopher fan, I just think Gardiner is a better player. It also seems like the NHL scouts agree with me. You were they same guy posting years ago begging the Nor...

I'm originally from Roseau, currently living in "da cities," but pay attention to the Roseau kids... As far as hockey goes...you will not find a better place to learn the game. Since it is a small town, they don't have many kids. So everyone gets a lot of ice time and they try to produce a champions...

Ness is very good and very overhyped. GASP! When did you move to the cities bobber?
