Re: CoVid-19

I'm lost here and certainly wouldn't come to phpBB HighSchoolHockeyForums.com to understand infectious disease.....BUT Cigar posts a bunch of numbers and says here are the facts, then posts something indicating that people dying from Covid-19 have co-morbidities. Is there any debate over that? Yes, ...

I think in a perfect world, seedings for sections and state would be based on computer rankings like PageStat that put more weight on recent results.
I didn't realize PageStat did. Will read the methodology again.

2019-20

Pioneers went 3-5-2 over a month into mid-January and then played better than any other team the rest of the way en route to the state title.

Re: Transfers 2020-21

Interesting to see where TF lands. Could it be a return to his roots or off to a junior or AAA-based team. Only time will tell... :-k He's an '03 so if you are wondering if he winds up playing 18U in Pittsburgh that's an interesting thought. College-committed to a team in the Western half of the U....

Re: Playoff format thought???

My thought is they are kids not professionals and it is a non-starter to greatly increase the number of games or length of the season.

After all, it’s just a game.

Yes...kids who struggle with school I totally understand the Major Junior route when placing hockey on the front burner. A friend's son is playing in Canada now and I've purposely avoided talking to him because I'm afraid something I'll say will be offensive. Yeah, I get it why Canadian kids want t...

Re: US WHL Draft

Can anybody name one kid that has been better off because they lived the Dub Life?

All I see are what one very knowledgeable guy privately calls “dead bodies” because it’s an accelerated rush to ECHL hockey.

I wish everyone well but do not see the appeal.

Re: Role of the Minnesota State High School League

There really aren’t that many of them in the grand scheme of things. Exactly. A few more than we hear about probably because it is only a problem when a team enjoys a little success! I'm all for a level playing field. Since people won't ever agree on what that looks like I see it as a fool's errand...

Re: Role of the Minnesota State High School League

My belief is that the number of transfers is out of control. What is that number? Seriously, you are way out past left field here. Are there transfers? Yes. Out of control? https://legacy.mshsl.org/mshsl/ Go to this website and click on the "Schools" and "Activities" dropdown. MSHSL oversees all of...

O-townClown Eden Prairie had a few recruits. Recruits? Why all the ire at Eden Prairie only when top programs routinely attract players? Edina, Burnsville, Jefferson, etc.... OTC Just would like the MSHSL to lower the boom on this transfer BS so the same crap doesn't continue to happen like what happened at STA, EP, Hermantown to name a few. We need to preserve the great community based model we have for generations to come. I'll have to re-read. I don't see how your pr...
