There's also girls and boys hoops plus the 64-team field right around the corner. The end of February through early March is usually the time when I get absolutely nothing accomplished and love it.

Great read, gopher10. #12 Cory Johnson is short, but even better, he's strong and never gives up. Barribal has to have the scouts drooling with his speed. Aside from the one or two mentioned, overall the goaltending wasn't fantastic.

What I'm interested in finding out is if Warroad is pretty much homegrown or do they at times use the same recruiting practices as others from the Metro? I'd also like to get your opinions on what I believe is becoming more and more a fallacy of the David vs. Golliath matchup. The small school power...

Moorhead didn't have any snipers. AHA did. And the interesting thing is it was Moorhead who had problems with AHA's speed, not the other way around. Even though the shots were 40-18, it was Moorhead's defenseman who were giving up the key odd man rushes. AHA would let Moorhead in their zone and then...

I thought this was a part of the "clutch & grab" style that is growing in the high school level? I think both squads were getting away with plenty. Why the championship turned out the way it did

Aside from the obvious, my two are Centennial putting Gorwosky on defense, and Moorhead not utilizing the speedy #12 (Cory Johnson) more often. Every time Johnson was on the ice it seemed he was a danger with his exceptional speed, and for whatever reason (which could as well be good), Moorhead deci...

David vs. Goliath theory

I'm not sure the old belief holds up as accurately as back in the olden days. I would make the case that a fair share of "small school enrollments" examples are muted by the fact that the metropolitan area teams' talent level is shortened by the surrounding competition with one another. In other wor...
