I think all HShockeywatcher is trying to point out is home ice advantage goes to Mtka this game. And yes, had there not been the CDH basketball game, there would have been a much bigger STA student body fan base attending this away game. That is understood, but after finding that out and switching ...

As I am very disappointed in the scheduling, I will say that PREDICTING Tonka to destroy their first legit opponent of the year is very ignorant. Either team may have the firepower to put up 8 goals in this game, but I doubt that will happen. It will likely be a 2 goal game or less either way. Whic...

Before the Tartan game, I would've predicted a St Thomas win. Obviously I want a win, but Alritcher needs to not give up 4 goals, like he's averaged so far and be the state winning goalie he was two years ago. 5-3 St Thomas Just noticed St Thomas is hosting Cretin in their annual basketball dual at...

Eden Prairie vs Edina is by far the best west metro rivalry. Not better than Minnetonka-Edina, sorry. Haha, good one. Come down to Breamar for the Holiday tournament and try to find a seat. It's not exactly a PG event with the student sections too. The EHS=MHS game sells out every time and last yea...

Wayzata is not better than blaine Victories over Edina, Centennial and Duluth East. We shall see after both teams play Osseo this week. Wayzata 4 Osseo 4. This is going to be a tough agrument Slapshot. ouch.... end of discussion How did Blaine do against any of the aforementioned teams?

edina and east and cenntenial are not better than blaine. and how will we see when both teams will beat osseo? Edina, East and Centennial are all good teams and after both play Osseo we will be able to compare their performances against a similar opponent. Is that a difficult concept to gras...

SLP goals from Petit and Smith. Brodersen with 2 assists both SLP goals came late in the third after going down 3-0.
Wow, Armstrong has really fallen.

These guys might be too old now ;), but the 1985 state quarterfinal between Jefferson and Minnetonka. It was the 7:00 game, went to 3 OTs and the league decided to suspend the game until Fri morning in order that the late game be able to start. It was was a very good game and both teams had their ch...

I don't buy the "splitting votes" theory because theoretically you vote for the player and not the school. In other words any vote that say doesn't go to Gardiner because it went to Prochno is a vote that also didn't go to another player on another team. In that sense it didn't Gardiner any more tha...

I think they're playing EASTVIEW and I think O'Shea is going to keep it closer than most think. 3-1 EP but I'm pulling for Eastview to upset.

That's not true. Most high school hockey players from MN need to go to Juniors to excel their game. You can't get better when your playing with HS buds who would rather go to the Sadies Hawkins dance than play a little puck. Times are changing and to be the best, you need to play with the best. The...

Actually, Lucia won a national title in his 3rd and 4th season as Gopher head coach. His first title contained only one class he did not recruit... his second national title team was all his recruits (except for Nick Anthony). mmm... that must be some good Don Lucia kool-aid gopher blog. Ok Gopher boosters.......I'm sorry. You guys are the best! Your recruiting is better than anyone elses. Your coach is better than anyone elses. Your program as a whole has no flaws and I cannot believe that I ever thought that there could be any other collegiate hockey in the "State of Hockey" besi...

All I am saying is that SCSU is making quite a few inroads into our states talent. Maybe what we are seeing is th...

Tonly Lucia has proven himself to be a legit Div I player. He's far from elite of course but he has earned his place in Div I without question.
