Re: 2019 Elite League Rosters

"At least for the next 5 years that’s low for Roseau. Both bantam and peewees at the AA state tournaments. Nobody else on the list can say that. Not to mention they plain mopped the floor with some of the above teams. Brainerd is a huge swing and a miss looking at their bantams and peewees. 10 years...

Re: Serious question around HS players and drugs/alcohol

I believe each school can enforce greater standards.

I know of schools that are very strict in this regard - public and private.

In the heck did Mr. northern hs hockey forget about Greenway?
Sorry
They were on my handwritten list, but in the excitement of the moment (being in Minnesota for a whole week) I did not type them in.

Re: Top 5 Goaltenders

I wanted to move this post forward and see who are considered to be the top returning goaltenders for the upcoming season. Evaluating goalies is definitely not my forte, so I’ll start by listing the top ten returning starters by save percentage. I realize it’s an imperfect metric, but it is better ...

900 or so kids. And how many registered players in MN, mites thru Bantams? What percentage of the membership are we changing rules for?
About 56000 to 58000 players registered in MN.
Of those about 34000 bantams and younger and 8000 on the girls side.
So 2. something percent.

Re: Minnesota Hockey cut-off dates

Minnesota Hockey will not be voting on a calendar year. That has no support at all. This current vote is strictly to change from July 1 to June 1 based on various studies that suggests there are a significant number of players (or boys) that fall into this June category (900 or so if memory serves m...

Is this topic coming up again at the June meeting?

Re: The Hermantown Thread

Fair enough, distance is irrelevant. But housing in GR is going to be far cheaper, and GR will play more top AA teams, meaning more exposure for the player in question. Same goes for Duluth East. Those teams would also mean challenging games in the regular season and the playoffs. Why, again, would...
