Absolutely! They should also have personal chefs, valets, sports psychologists and a posse.

Re: AA Rankings for 12/22/19

I think Kaiser is main reason Andover is a top team. He has the majority of their points and if he didn't come back its a different story KAISER...Wolfe, Thoreson, Kron...BINGO ☝️ Kaiser is the elite talent but the chemistry of this group is what makes them special. You can tell Kaiser and Wolfe ha...

Re: Games Thursday 12/26/19

Andover looks really good. Rosemount having a hard time getting out of their end. Wolfe and Kaiser get about 80% of the ice time on D. Rosemount scoring chances come when 4 and 5 are on the bench. 3-2 Andover after 2nd. Looked like Andover skated 5 D with 4 and 5 out every other shift and power pla...

Re: AA Rankings for 12/22/19

-Cretin has certainly benefited from beating up on some weak teams, and the Benilde win may be more of a statement on Benilde's current state of affairs than anything about the Raiders. That said, they are beating teams they should beat by solid margins, and PS2 seems to like them. Saw the CDH vs B...

Re: Thursday Grand Rapids versus Edina

It was a disappointing showing for GR. The victories over BSM and Minnetonka were by a hard working, motivate team. Against Edina I thought Rapids lacked energy and fire. Then once Edina got up on them it seemed panic set-in with whiffs and rushed passes. Maybe it comes with a young team. We'll see...

Re: Thursday Grand Rapids versus Edina

4-0 with 2 remaining . Sogs 32- 14 I’ll be at the Rosemount vs Andover game in SLP Thursday. After beating MG 4-0, & DE upsetting Blaine & then drubbing the Cougars...it appears that Andover is simply “that good” rather than DE being “that bad”. And I have a new favorite DE player, diminutive 9th g...

Was looking over the LPH rankings thinking to myself "Do these people pay attention at all to high school hockey?" when at that moment I realized they had Edina ranked twice. Both at 9 and 13. Had to have a good laugh and share. https://www.stateofhockey.com/rankings Boys Class AA RANK TEAM 1 Eden ...

Re: Future of Duluth Marshall

Is the enrollment in general of Marshall declining? Schools like Shattuck, St Thomas and Benilde figured out that hockey has become a rich persons' sport and by offering the center of excellence type of hockey program was a way to fill empty desks with tuition paying students from wealthy families. ...

Re: Bantams vs. High School

I think he meant - how much do kids pay to play HS. Correct East Side? in my experience families are on the hook for most of the expenses other than coach's salaries unless the booster club steps up. A participation fee is paid to the school. I'm not sure what they are now days but I think when my ...

Re: University of St Thomas

Attendance is a great topic as it pertains to St Thomas possibly going D-1 On one hand you have schools like ASU playing in front of 400 people and the U of MN playing in a arena half full. My guess is St Thomas would struggle to draw in the casual Metro area hockey fan. Just to much competition in...

Re: Bantams vs. High School

What are some of the expenses involved with HS hockey, & how much are they? Skates, sticks, pads and ice time are the big ones. Bus and driver. Occasionally if the coach wants to hire an assistant who wants more than what the school will pay that has to be covered. In my experience the state tourna...

Imagine what kind of team Tonka would have had last year if he and Hanus would have stayed.
Playing the coulda game...Lake was insane. Eden Prairie would have Piechowski and Edina adds Brinkman & Silianoff.
Good point. In retrospect maybe Brinkman and Hanus would have benefitted from staying.

1/10th the overall cost in high school. No 9:00 pm games on a Wednesday night two hours away from home. The school gets you to and from away games. Of course this all depends on your individual school district but for me high school was a far and away better alternative to youth hockey. Making it t...

For example John Farinacci (per his dad) is getting a full ride as is Derek Mullahy, in the form of financial ai...

Re: 2019 Elite League Rosters

Muck, last year the NTDP faced North Southwest. Injured players were replaced, and naturally the invitations were extended to high end players. So there was a mechanism to get an elite player in the game who normally played on another team. Looking forward to two great games! That might be what I w...
