Require 2 referees
I watched several Bantam A and B regional games this week-end. Will this be the year MN Hockey requires 2 referees for every game? Add 1 linesman for upper levels as used at high school. But from what I saw, with VERY qualified experienced referees, 1 referee is outdated and needs to be eliminated. ...

Your math is a skewed since you are only looking at the A level. When including the AA and B1 levels, it is much closer to 100% success. Under the old way, the A and B1 would be dominated by the same associations. So rework your math and provide the results. Making associations have an AA or A, but ...

Did somebody say Alex Funk isn't the reason LHS got out of Section 1A? 12 points in 3 games? And Samuelson has 1 Goal? My word. Alex Funk has proved to be a terrific HS player! Now, it is true that Section 1A is an easy road. But even St Peter-Henderson-LeSeuer-etc would have giving them all they'd ...

Still no question that LHS is best Class A team in Rochester! AND, no question that Alex Funk is the best player to come out of Winona in many years. 4 G's 1 A in a 6-1 game? Man that kid can fly and put the puck in the net! The Red Wing goalie was shaky in game 2 but played much better vs. West! As...

I totally agree forcing A teams to play AA teams is not right. Totally agree it is good for A and AA teams to have the ability to play each other. But there is no way to convince me that the old way was better. The idea of creating upper and lower tiers of A is really no different than the summer ho...

I thought I did give credit to the success Princeton and North Branch, in addition to about 25 other programs that have shown success at the District level? I viewed Princeton's game schedule and the scores would suggest they beat opponents in the 2nd half of the season that had beaten them the 1st ...

MN Hockey created this monster. (Again the AA-A program is fine, but MN Hockey screwed this part of it up) Coaches categorize games as MUST WIN and don't matter. The coach was right, this game didn't matter. Due to MN Hockey screwing up the South regional, smart coaches will figure a way to get the ...

The transfer rule stopped the school hopping. (For educational purposes of course) Open enrollment for athletics is very real. Tying sports participation to residence location would eliminate the transfer rule for 99% of the students. For instance, one can live in Eden Prairie but in the Minnetonka ...

PeterDenton: Thank you for your time. If you have access to this, I am just wondering the number of games played? I assume Funk and Samuelson will play 125 games? Funk and Samuelson are very gifted players, as were many of the past leaders. But just seems to me very few of them played as 9th graders...
