Mr. Bo: You seem in a bad spot with your association. Haven't read your past posts enough to know what association you are in? I did see you post alot about the FIRE, are you a part of that? The FIRE seems to fit the FLA model you want. And when you get disgruntled with the FIRE, you can sign up wit...

Mr Bo: I can't figure you out. You are making a claim that FLA hockey provides so much more "training" than MN. Can you help me understand what training FLA provides that isn't available here? With the AAA year-round options, Accel MN, Total Hockey, Velocity, etc I don't know what your meaning of tr...

Mr. Bo: Maybe you didn't get the gist of my post. You somehow picked Wayzata, Anoka and Forest Lake saying they couldn't compete in FLA. FLA rules state a 60 mile radius, so that is why I picked that number. MN Hockey is doing it right. If you want Tier 1 hockey, it's a short drive bud. I know a fam...

Mr Bo: I imagine MN could provide fairly competitive Teir 1 teams within a 60 mile radius of Wayzata, Forest Lake and Anoka. Also, ever think the people playing hockey in FLA are "hockey people" transplanted or maybe working there? Like maybe kids of Lightning players might have pretty good hockey g...

It would be interesting to hear the rationalization as to why tryouts are held in the fall? The $$$ aspect is a given. Maybe they need 5 months to get the names printed on the required "team wear"?

Every player, coach, referee, association, etc pay USA and MN Hockey fees. In addition to a monthly magazine, insurance policies are provided to cover this type of frivolous lawsuit. I'd say our $40 per year hard at work! The way I look at it, Bernie McBain brought this frivolous lawsuit and he is l...

Thank you to the "old timers" that brought in some of Bernie's history. My point in asking about his past is that people with the size ego it appears BM has, developed it over time. They start to believe they are the sole reason for a kids success. I have talked with coaches that "developed" great p...

kiddingme: 1: I think alot of people have more money than brains. They are afraid their kid will "fall behind". You're tipping your hand on the old politics and "social network mainframe" restrict kids' advancement. So, take your $4,000 ball and go home? 2. Again with the politics and not being eval...

old goalie85 has it right. The first kid (or only child) are always the main focus and the insanity is only realized when there comes a 2nd or more children. Maverick is stating the reason for burnout. Force that kid into a committment, and he will trudge through it one year, but the fun is being su...

I had a conversation with a couple hockey dads at football the other night. I know this is a HUGE generalization, but we named about 20 instances from our area and all fit the bill. So generalization or irony? The year round AAA hockey kids that were brought into our discussion are all tiny kids. Th...

Thanks oldgoalie85. The reason I had asked BM's background as player and youth coach is that his personality does not seem that unlike JP Parise. JP stood in the wings a bit back in Zach's Jefferson early youth days. Then he stepped to the forefront. I assume things deteriorated in Bloomington and t...

Regarding Rochester feeding 4 high schools. Looking at Bantam level teams, do 100% of the Edina kids go to Edina HS? How about Wayzata, Eden Prairie, Woodbury, or you name the program.
