I'm not sure this is true - they may have had their next two best goalies at JGA. If they choose to tryout, they will be in the mix.

Pugh is back for sure, he's skating on the U18 Blades this fall: http://www.minnesotablades.com/roster_players/9282881?subseason=248194 I imagine the defense on Edina being: Phillips Pugh Hankinson Johnson Brinkman Foley Tabor? Michaelson? Could be tough for the seniors on the list, especially Hank...

There are more than 1 bantam eligible players transferring to Tonka. With the new MN Hockey rule how will they be eligible for AA as a transfer? You mean the "new" rule which essentially reverted back to the old rule? If they are moving to Minnetonka, then they are eligible for the top team. Even i...

Right, I am aware that the MSHSL allows 7-12 graders play varsity sports..I was questioning the statement that Edina doesn't have 9th graders play JV..Last year they 9th on both varsity and JV...This year might create a larger exception to the stated non-jv rule because of ............(name your re...

Yes - even 8th graders for that matter. Again, unless this drives a change in thinking by the HS staff, then there's nothing to this as far as Edina goes.

I forgot about Mickleson. I would probably swap him in for Foley. Hankinson, if we are talking about the one who will be a senior, I expect to play JGA or perhaps he could move to forward. Maybe I am wrong, but I think there is too much depth at D. Also forgotten was Johnson - who played about half...

The only associations that will benefit from this in the form of pretty good players will be the Edina's and Minnetonka's of the world and they might not even get any. Smaller associations may benefit from having a few more bodies to round out one team or help fill in a B team. It may end up having...

On another note, the Edina Junior Gold A team did split two games with Shattuck's lowest 18 year old team, which Shattuck calls Midget AA. Mitch From reports I heard and some that I watched online, this was the type of competition that was in St. Louis. A number of these teams play regular games an...

IF you want to be entirely fair... 80% of the Edina squad would be too old to play for the Honeybaked, or other, teams... 6 month swing in allowed ages there... but still nice to see that they match-up well. This argument was brought up at great length two years ago when they actually went on the t...

That's right, we should never question the coach when he loses the respect of his players and his team has dramatically under-achieved. There are plenty of above average players playing Junior Gold that are dedicated and committed. Your comment is idiotic, at best.

Green I think that Giles actually moved the 2nd line center (Dornbach) to Malmquist's spot. Copeland started the game with Masterman and Bowlby. Haug took a spot on the third line. I don't understand the rationale of messing with all three lines. Later he moved Haug up and reshuffled again. Clearly ...

How'd that work out for the girls?
Easily one of the dumbest comparisons ever made.
