What is the goal here? It should be to build a strong and competitive high school team. For most of our girls playing high school hockey is the crowning achievement. Playing with their friends and growing and developing as a team is what they are going to remember. For few of them, it will also be t...

Having watched the games today, a be it from a far, I predict that Roseau will win. They moved the puck the best and have the goaltending that can win them the championship.

Some great games today.

Hats off to EP's #11 who went from scrum to scrum trying to pull his guys out. Seemed to be the only EP player on the ice who understood the potential ramifications of what was transpiring. Very smart and mature behavior by that young man. His actions should be acknowledged and applauded. Agree, CM...

Re: American bracket

Shakopee, Eagan,Mtka Black in the same bracket wow!! Eagan IMO is overrated. Won a lot of games but played a really easy schedule. Edina got lucky with an easy draw, hard to not see them come out of their bracket. FL also has a very easy path. I predict American: Edina, Mtka, Shakopee National: And...

Every meaningful game in D6 went to overtime and/or shoot out. Shows how close these teams are. Too bad one had to go home when several 15-25 teams are advancing.

Some great games in the D6 districts. Shakopee is playing very well taking down both Mtka Black and Edina. Hate to see EP go down to Mtka Black in a shootout - especially after they outshot them and outplayed them the entire game.

Zamboni, should we just hand you the state title now?
Who says the teams you beat weren't also in a slump or had illness, sickness or injuries? The reality is there are about 2-3 teams that have the slight edge, but there are about 10-12 teams that on any given night could pull off the win.

A problem that could be quickly fixed. Do a shootout in pool play then. Usually takes no more then 5 minutes. Fargo had plenty of time between games to make that happen. Just a shoot out? So the best goalie can win? Pool play tie breakers are usually better than a shootout. People know when you play...

A couple of good upsets - Roseau over Andover and Wayzata over Edina. Shows that a lot of girls teams are of similar caliber. Roseau has been a sleeper team so far this season. They have some good skaters and a very good goalie. Wayzata hasn't lived up to its potential but looks like it could be pea...

Fargo is becoming the new Duluth. Duluth always draws good teams because of its reputation, but nobody seems to like how it is run. Fargo is well run, has pin trading, draws some different teams. I predict in a few years Fargo will be the bigger draw -- and no I am not affiliated with Fargo in any w...

Off the top of my head from 2013-14 12uA, Roseau, Duluth, WBL - all state entries without a team at this level 2014-15.

*edit - sorry WBL is fielding A.

Please explain. All these teams have a 12A team

Here are YHH's final AAA rankings. Any comments? I for one think the 5th place team in '01 is out of place. They finished 4th in the open division of the Caribou Cup.
