Why do they track hits on their Hub site?
Only four other teams do that.
Over 1,000 hits in twelve games.
Maybe they just have an aggressive statistician.

Agreed. If a mom chews I guarantee she is a short bencher.

They have some talent but they are kind of thin. They would be better if they stayed out of the box, fourth most minutes In the State so far. They think it's 1975 so you need to take six steps and blast an opponent that passed the puck four seconds ago. They waste too much energy "finishing there ch...

The free and reduced lunch impact does lower some schools below the "top 64" cut-off in many sports. Minneapolis and St Paul public schools typically move down a level in most sports. These schools have the ability to opt down for each sport (not an all or none decision) and the decision can be sep...

Two maybes,
Elk River lost Rogers and Zimmerman kids and were still very competitive in their conference and section and possibly Burnsville.
Burnsville hasn't continued to grow but it's neighbors certainly have.
They have been very talented and successful recently.

I disagree with the portrayal that our schools are subsidizing a group of kids out of line with other sports. One of the main differences that exists is that schools don't provide ice arenas for their hockey programs, yet they build football fields, basketball courts, baseball fields, swimming pool...

I think that this is very possible in the next 20-30 years. You've seen schools like Johnson, Harding and all Minneapolis close or consolidate; the expenses for ice team and travel for a Boys and Girls teams will eventually be too big of a burden for many schools. Hockey families are used to paying ...

There are problems either way. I've been to open tryouts, at the bar during closed tryouts and in the stands while coaching to evaluate kids in a pool. Once I had a chance to watch as a coach, I was able to offer some advice for changes that I think helped. Things like playing 5/5 instead of 4/4, mo...

I've watched Apollo play several times this season and the only way they don't lose by double-digits on Wednesday is if STA plays without a goalie. So true, they are horrific. Just curious if this transfer/jv thing applies to all extra curricular activities.

If a kid is a good drummer, actor, dance line member, debater; do they have drop down to a "lesser " activity level for a year if they didn't move and open enroll at a new school?
