All just assumption on my part, what will really interest me is if they will be able to support both programs over the long haul.
My guess is they'll support the program until Chaz and Cruz graduate then consolidate.

Re: Any Centennial Curmudgeons on here? (Lucas McGregor)

Exiled - Was his loyalty questioned before he left SCSU? If not why should it be considered a long term issue? Fact is he inherited a terrible roster and some recruits that don't fit his coaching needs and he has every right to try and improve the situation. If he's bailing on recruits 2 years from...

He can't win this one.
As they say in the classic '80s movie War Games, "the only winning move is not to play."

Re: Any Centennial Curmudgeons on here? (Lucas McGregor)

I have a bone to pick with Motzko as a scorned SCSU fan, but many of my fellow Huskies are personally friends with Motzko and like him as a person. Regardless, he's ditching players who grew up dreaming of playing for the Gophers and replacing them with players who he talked out of their original co...

Re: Ryder Donovan

Doesn't he have a brother playing juniors out there somewhere. Maybe a package deal would get the job done. Shay Donovan, right? Playing in the NAHL with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, I believe. The Huskies probably do have room to add a walk-on defenseman for next season, but he'd have to be comfortable ...

Re: Ryder Donovan

Ootc-you don’t think they’d have to hold back one of their planned next season commits to fit Ryder in? How about if Tufte doesn’t leave? I doubt SCSU is even in the running, but my guess is that they could work him in pretty easily. There are two Motzko recruits listed for next season that I doubt...

Hope it’s nothing bad. Looks like he might have a decent relationship with Brett Larson though. Would love to see him in cardinal and black.

BP, assuming you’re talking about Dosan. Hadn’t seen him on the early departure list, do you know where he’s going? Yes - going to Northstar Academy in Alexandria. Who will NCA play against this first season? Is their goal to play MSHSL? Speaking of private schools joining the MSHSL, we gain a team...

Ryan Poehling didn’t exactly set the world on fire his first season at SCSU but he ended up as a late 1st round pick, 25th overall I believe. He played 35 games as a freshman, and it’s important to consider it was under Bob Motzko, as BB also will be. If BB ends up playing 35 games and puts up the ...

Please note that I do not typically add players who've graduated to the Early Departures list. Also, since this is the "high school hockey" forum, I typically don't add players who've departed straight from bantams. For these reasons, Brock Faber and Ben Brinkman do not appear on the list.

They play the level that the high school they feed is in. They can opt up as Hermantown does, but many choose not to. Not sure if there is any good alternative. Every association and every district is different. Outstate "A" often looks far different that Metro "A". Same for B1. It's a mess with no...

I feel like we have the rating system backwards. The C teams should be labeled "Level 1" teams. The B2 teams would be "Level 2". B1=3, A=4, AA=5. This would be all levels, mites through bantams. For in-season tournaments, you can opt up but you cannot opt down. This would do away with "B" tournament...
