100% agreed. I am thankful my oldest is moving on to the high school level next year, although I have a daughter in the program battling the same issues. My hopes are by the time my youngest(mite)is at the traveling stage, this will be resolved. You never know.

Rapids gets rid of I'Falls on the first leg of their long roadie. 4-0. Update, Pat Moore did play as well as Anderson who had been out with a bad back, so all bodies are present and playing which should help. Play Selkirk(Canada) this morning.

Some people here are implying that the parents in the stands are unrealistic in what they are thinking are the abilities of their own kid. What if the parent coach is doing the same thing of his own? What if his kid doesn't belong on the power play and the one shafted does? That happens too. At the...

Re: FATHER COACHES

IT REALLY DEPENDS ON THE COACH. A GOOD COACH IS A GOOD COACH. AND AN EXPERIENCED AND GOOD PARENT COACH IS ACCUTELY AWARE OF THE PERCEPTIONS OF HOW HE MANAGES HIS OWN KID DURING THE SEASON, REGARDLESS IF ITS FAIR OR NOT. I'VE ALWAYS FOUND IT INTERESTING THAT A FAIR PERCENTAGE OF PEOPLE WOULD RATHER ...

Try and get a head coach that does not have a kid on the team and have the dad's of the players that want to help coach be the assistants. My kid played for two different associations and when he played in Albert Lea alot of the coaches wanted to follow there kid up each level as head coach and it ...

Only one prediction. Rapids will not be shut out. Should be a back and forth game with fair refs this time around. No one can honestly say that Bemidji doesn't catch a break at home. At least in Rapids, the refs call things the way they are - on both sides.

Back on track? Tough to say. After playing like a B-2 team against Virginia, put up a 12 spot against a weak Eveleth team. Juggled lines and better passing looked to pep the boys up a bit. Hopefully sign of better things to come. We'll see tomorrow in a matchup with tough Hermantown.

What a letdown. I thought Rapids had figured themselves out by now. They just took about 20 steps backwards. They'll never be a good or great team until several of their players realize they can't win games by themselves. Hats off to Virginia cause they obviously came to play. They did what it took ...
