I think LF will still be a good team, especially if they shore up defensively a bit this year. Won't be the high flying team they were with Festler, but they'll have something to say about who wins the conference. Looks like Ben is doing well in the Elite League, proving he has some scoring punch w/...

How can Edina be considered "up and coming"? Seems like they're always good. Or are they going to be great from just good?

Remember, LF has no summer ice and this was the first time they skated together this summer. And I wouldn't count LF out. They have a huge hole to fill no doubt with Festler and Jorgenson gone, but they still have the Hanowski boys and Berglund. Some of their other younger players were stepping it u...

Tournament in Alexandria

I heard Little Falls is playing in a tourny in Alexandria. Anyone know what teams are involved or anything else about these games?

7AA has to be right up there with Duluth East, Cloquet, GR, Elk River, and Brainerd. Are ER and Brainerd still in there? Maybe Brainerd is in 8AA now. I'm sure someone will straighten me out.

What is the process for making these teams? Are players recommended by their coaches and then they try-out?

I haven't heard anything. Would that be a good thing or a bad thing for LF? Is the family moving to LF?

Both Beau and Ben were all conference baseball players last year. They have a chance to be a good team this year, returning most players from last year's team. John H. is indeed the coach.

"LF will need Festler and Ben Hano and Sperl will have to get better." I think with that top line returning they can cause some destruction. As for Sperl, he just needs some more experience, and to play in some more top notch games. I want Festler back next year. What are the odds he or someone he ...

It was a great game to watch. I think LF finally earned the respect they deserve. That said, I think they definitely need to schedule some tougher teams to play. When you coast through just about every third period of every game with a huge lead, you don't learn how to finish tough games. It was obv...

I disagree Bluegoose. FF vs. LF is a rivalry game, plus, its the third time these teams have met. It could very well be a close game for these reasons. I don't think it will have a bearing on how well LF does in state, if they make it.
