I would propose the 5-win Class A title rule as an automatic opt-up to AA. STA won 5 Class A titles...they opted up. Breck has 4. One more title...should be an automatic opt-up. Warroad also has 4. Hermantown is sitting at 2, possibly 3 after tomorrow. I don't agree with them moving up yet. Give kud...

Just turned on the TV - 5-0. Why is Mankato West playing a AA private school? This seems to lack the entire point of a Class A championship, MSHSL. Then Breck clearly scored and the refs called it off. ???? Is that sportsmanship?

No team has won the State Hockey tournament with more than 8 losses (not counting Class A and Tier II). If tradition continues, Duluth East and Eden Prairie have no chance at winning this tournament.

Since you mentioned it, the one-knee slide Hill-Murray celebrations annoyed me this year. I saw it a couple times by Hill this year. After the final on Saturday, the only one-knee they took was the one of defeat. Karma.
