I'm fairly new to the AAA landscape so my ignorance here may show. But don't you suppose that the reason there is a market for these teams is that association hockey isn't fulfilling the needs of these players/parents for whatever reason. I would bet that many go to these teams because they are not...

A lot of the 2000-level teams in the International Cup appear to be open-level teams (Snipers, Foothills, Thunder Bay, Crush, Legacy). Not sure why the Blades would get into that field, especially since they have the Brick just a month later. Would think that trying to prepare for the level of team...

Was at same event last year. First class. well run for a 1st year trny no doubt, more emphasis should be on the time of play. A pre 8:00 am start for bracket play is a little unecessary. Andover ? :lol: Andover has top goalie, he is good enough to steal a game or two by himself. They also have a top defenseman, physical kid. After that it drops off. If the goalie and top D can carry they will get a W or two, if not they have little other opportunity to change the outcome of the game.
