tier 1 u18
the city of rochester could support one, no need for mn hockey as these kids are beyond association. This would be could for the elite player of non metro or northern powerhouse assocations. Note, good for the player, so hold off on the bad for the high school team. Minnesota would field a very good...

My kids are on the younger teams. It is hard for everybody especially transplants to keep up with declarations like District 6 recently did about if you play here you can't play for Bernie. I wish at the end of the day the decision makers would say are these decisions best for the kids. I went thro...

As JBone said, FSN quit showing HS Hockey because they weren't making any money off it. Advertisers didn't step up and pay for commerical airtime during the HS games, so subsequently, they pulled the hockey off. I'm as bummed as anyone, but it's market-driven. it is not hard to raise enough money b...

Re: MN Made AAA tryouts
Does anyone know when the MN Made AAA tryouts are for the 2011 season? I'm assuming they're sometime in Sept but I don't see anything on their website. for the tops teams they are over with, unless your player is a 2002 then a good check and decent player will gain you a spot on the top team. For t...

Where does a AAA player in Kansas City go to play now that Russell Stover is importing Minnesotans to play on the team, and take spots, from the Kansas City players? Is Russell Stover leadership really doing the right thing? Gotta be some unhappyness there. Are kids going to Tier 1 or Juniors as 11...

Is your assumption that Tier I is a better developmental option than Minnesota HS hockey? It might accelerate things a bit, but it certainly doesn't raise the ceiling. Phil Housley, Jamie Langenbrunner, Paul Martin...these guys played HS hockey. Erik Johnson didn't. So he gets drafted a little highe...

GO TEAM TORSPO!!!. Take it to the 2000 Icemen tonight.....They have nothing, maybe one player, if he shows. We saw that last week. Signed, TORSPO parent.... one of the classiest first posts ever and then got slammed... I hope that you were kidding on that post. Your kidding right? Icemen beat torps...

Sounds like MNHockey is doing something very similar. Can play in another state (for the fire) but must sit out for a year when you come back. Go ahead and play, but be prepared to be punished if you do. Instead of giving your members other options within Mn., penalize them if they choose to play w...

[The only negative is for the HS program....... It is currently very cheap to play for NB without the overhead of an arena. The mites will be in Isanti (we should of stayed away) and the traveling teams will be in East Bethel. Pine City even offered NB most of their prime ice hours, but NB declined...

Re: A Blades Bait and switch?
Here is something interesting. I register my son for the Jr. Blades thinking that we would be skating at St. Louis Park. Now I find out that it is at Hat Trick! Which is that little rink that has a tractor for a zamboni. It stinks and makes my head hurt when I am in there. No Parking!!!! I have had...

Thanks for all the comments. Exactly what I was looking for. On page two in about 24 hours. Awesome. Regarding facts, when I checked the birth sheets of the players of the teams with the Breezy Point officials, to the best of my recollection, there was only two players listed at 98's unless you are...

get some open ice. He plays Junior Gold though because he doesn't compete. He backs off, he doesn't hit people when he has a chance. He's just a nice kid and that is not his game. He'll probably be a fantastic coach someday. I've told him, Varsity hockey is not for everyone, doesn't mean he's not a ...

Now I hope the Icemen beat the blades 20 to 0. What a joke. Blades coach needs his head checked. Looks like the Machine and Blades are the 2 MN teams who should be playing each other. They are the only 2 teams without any sportsmanship. Let them beat each other up! Why don't they play? I would like...

Tripping--- 20 to 0- aaa that means it is O.K.??? PLEASE!!! i understand the frustration, modern day AAA is not what it once was ( spring/summer league was called showcase ) now they are all lumped together. But AAA for some teams is still consider the elite playing level of their age, 20-0 is no d...
