OTB, I reposted my final picks on Nov 5th, with EP in and DE out. Reposted below. So we have all the exact same top 10 teams, albeit some different order. At that time Bellows and Zuhlsdorf were unannounced departing, but I still think Edina and LVN would be tied for #1 anyway. Posted: Wed Nov 05, ...

Must be another transfer loop hole I am unaware of! Could someone explain please how Gleekal can be eligible? Thanks From what I heard, he started schoo this year. Tema named captains after school started, he wasn't named captain, so family and kid were upset, so they withdrew from school, after th...

Re: question

Why would they stay in the Open Division?! Anyone in the know out there have some insight here? From what I have seen of the Reebok and Elite leagues the Luverne programs at several levels are all about getting some recognition out there in scoutland? Why back away from potentially tougher competit...

Once upon a time (when Sparlimb was young) there was a Saturday of section finals at the Met Center that went 4 games long. And I think they did that a few years in a row. Now I don't know if the sections were given deals back then or if there is stomach to do it again, but you could easily get a 4...

Best guess is that they will probably have a split session like they used to at one time at the Coliseum. Probably like 4:00 and 8:00. It's 6 and 8:30 for what I'm hearing. It's full for the 4A, not sure how they'll do AA in there the same night. I think they'll sell the tickets to the 4 schools, a...

If not, they'll make one, for the right player's parent, er, I mean, employee. That's what I meant, but they legally probably have to post them for a period of time. ;) Jobs have to be posted for 5 days legally before they can hire, in case they get audited by the EEOC. So, they could turn it aroun...

I wonder if this year is going to be like the last couple with just average players losing to average teams. maybe one day they will get back to the years of old when they were contenders year in and year out. Luverne won't be returning to the Schwan's cup after this winter according to my sources. Scheduling 3 individual games will be more beneficial due to the suffocating conference schedule against very non quality opponents. As for not moving into the bronze division this year, I have no answer. Bein...

Did they upgrade their non-conference schedule at all? I think T-G, but anyone else? I was wondering this also. I remember the luverne faithfuls saying it was harder to get better teams on the schedule due to geography and that stuff. I thought they won the schwans tourney they were in, do they usu...

The 18's lost 6-3 to Dallas. The 16's pulled out as they didn't have enough players and probably not at the level of the other teams in the tourney.

Looks like a lot of the U16 Magicians played for different high schools last year and most of B-E are from out of the state. Based on their roster on the NAHL showcase site they have a lot kids from CO, WA, AZ and the Dakotas. Looks like B-E is thin on numbers for the 16's and 18's based on their r...
