Re: 2019 HP U17 or U16 Boys Rosters?
Hlinka Cup Team USA Roster Includes: F - Blake Biondi - Hermantown (Minnesota-Duluth) D - Evan Bushy - Thief River Falls (St. Cloud State) D - Wyatt Kaiser - Andover (Minnesota-Duluth) D - Jacob Ratzlaff - Rosemount (Minnesota) G - Louden Hogg - Edina I'd be shocked if Evan Bushy isn't one of the t...

Re: First report for next season
Bushy is a Good D...but not at the same level as the four D listed. Respectfully disagree. He was just about all of TRF's offense... from the blueline. Statistically, he performed just as well in the Elite League as three of those guys, which is our only apples to apples comparison. The fourth guy ...

That's right, I think Jaz is a senior but stopped playing after his sophomore year. Sister is still playing though.

Re: Ideas that should be brought to the Minnesota Hockey Board
Exiled One - does your plan also include some framework for how many teams an association should declare and what level they should declare them at? That, to me, is the root problem. As long as we continue to leave team declarations up to individual associations we will continue to have this kind o...

Re: Ideas that should be brought to the Minnesota Hockey Board
Essentially, in naming, that is the road the MSHSL went down in football. For your proposal just change it from 1-5 to A -AAAAA. So while officially being AAAAA is is just commonplace to call it 5A. Nobody gets their feelings hurt for being a B player. I'd be fine with that too. My only concern is ...

Re: Ideas that should be brought to the Minnesota Hockey Board
1) Regarding B level hockey: Recognize two levels of B, call them BB/B if you want to follow AA/A. Or, conversely, tell districts and associations to stop doing B1/B2 and only declare AA/A/B/C. 2) Regarding C level hockey: Create regional/state tourneys for Peewee and Bantam C. This might create a ...

Re: Ryder Donovan to Wisconsin
It’s not that cut & dried (which you darn well know) I can think of several players who signed their NLI, then were subsequently encouraged by the coaches to play another year in the USHL, what’s the player going to do? Insist he come in ? And be a healthy scratch all year... It is and it isn’t...

Re: Ryder Donovan to Wisconsin
Signing a NLI doesn't mean he will go in this fall. WI has five forwards (three USDT, a college transfer and the leading scorer in the AJHL) who have signed NLI. The three USDT and college transfer will are pretty much a sure thing to be in Mad-town this fall. Some of these will be one and dones in...

Re: redistricting
Little late to the conversation, but I think it's time for Maple Grove to go it's own way. Osseo HS is co-oping with Park Center HS and Brooklyn Center HS. Youth players in Brooklyn Center and Brooklyn Park are in the struggling North Metro association. Turn North Metro into "Osseo Park Center&...

Re: Minnesota Hockey cut-off dates
Just to clarify, the vote, if there is one, would be to change the cut-off from July 1 to June 1. I encourage you to vote nay on this proposal. On the prospect of moving the cut-off date to September 1st, I also encourage you to vote nay as I'm in favor of an August 1st cutoff, but September vs. Ju...

Re: Minnesota Hockey cut-off dates
Just so I'm clear - MN hockey wants to go from a two month gap between hockey and school age cutoff, to a three month gap between hockey and school age cutoff? Or am I reading that wrong? No, you are reading it right. MH is considering it, at a request of some members. I can only speak for my assoc...

My guess is they'll support the program until Chaz and Cruz graduate then consolidate.blueline_6 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 19, 2018 7:24 amAll just assumption on my part, what will really interest me is if they will be able to support both programs over the long haul.

Re: Any Centennial Curmudgeons on here? (Lucas McGregor)
Exiled - Was his loyalty questioned before he left SCSU? If not why should it be considered a long term issue? Fact is he inherited a terrible roster and some recruits that don't fit his coaching needs and he has every right to try and improve the situation. If he's bailing on recruits 2 years from...

Re: Any Centennial Curmudgeons on here? (Lucas McGregor)
I have a bone to pick with Motzko as a scorned SCSU fan, but many of my fellow Huskies are personally friends with Motzko and like him as a person. Regardless, he's ditching players who grew up dreaming of playing for the Gophers and replacing them with players who he talked out of their original co...

Re: Ryder Donovan
Doesn't he have a brother playing juniors out there somewhere. Maybe a package deal would get the job done. Shay Donovan, right? Playing in the NAHL with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, I believe. The Huskies probably do have room to add a walk-on defenseman for next season, but he'd have to be comfortable ...

Re: Ryder Donovan
Ootc-you don’t think they’d have to hold back one of their planned next season commits to fit Ryder in? How about if Tufte doesn’t leave? I doubt SCSU is even in the running, but my guess is that they could work him in pretty easily. There are two Motzko recruits listed for next season that I doubt...
