Re: the magic crystal ball says....yes!
[quote but questionable goaltending. [/quote]
Tough to say that about EP, their goaltender is one of the tops in the state. He's young and will most likely only get better.

Got the same letter as DmanDad, and having some experience with the boys Elite II, would assume it's patterned the same. Not affiliated with the Elite I, no gate fees (at least there weren't before) the league is a USA hockey sanctioned league so the players must register before trying out and you m...

If Holl develops in to a WCHA caliber defenseman, this will be one of the U's best recruits. The Gophers problem is that they have no defensive oriented defenseman. Lofquist is probably the closest. Otherwise guys like Fischer, Ness, Leddy, Fairchild and so on are all offensive defenseman. Holl has...

Not impressed with Elite II. Not sure I see the benefits to the kids and I haven't heard many favorable comments about the experience but no first hand experience. Didn't help the kids I know that played though. Two years ago, it was great. Last year, in my opinion, not so much. The look of the lea...

The Elite programs for the girls are now being run similarly to the boys program. The upper midwest elite league is considered elite I. The Elite II offers opportunities for younger players that are not with the upper midwest league. The boys programs for Elite II typically ran 4 seniors per team an...

GR... BSM was without.. Patterson (Returning Goal Scorer) Horn (Representing Team USA at 5 Nations) Steinhauser Anderson Besse Duda Meyers (Starting Goalie) Which means there whole first line was gone. You cant judge summer scrimmages when they don't bring up there first line. AHA had there top 2 l...

any info from this tourney other than scores? players/teams that impressed? GR had an impressive showing from both of their goaltenders and several of the younger players looked pretty good. 2 senior forwards that were role players last year showed that they should be tough and will contribute this...

Re: Summer
Lots of young players that will most likely be JV for the upcoming season as most of GR's regulars are playing baseball. Only a few varsity players this weekend for GR. GR3343, Sounds like a good test for your youngs guys to play against some Varsity level players The young guys played pretty well....

GR beats Crookston 4-3 in an uninspiring summer game. Lots of young players that will most likely be JV for the upcoming season as most of GR's regulars are playing baseball. Only a few varsity players this weekend for GR. Not horrible considering GR skated for the first time together last night. Ma...

Very well run event, very well scouted by USHL, NCAA, EJHL, and NAHL scouts. Very good feedback from USHL staff including several head coaches as well as the director of central scouting and the league commissioner. Great competition as the players all seem to realize what they're there for. 6 games...

Not pretending to know anything about what's going on there in Roseau, but isn't it possible that the man is being sincere about wanting to follow his son's progression as he leaves high school? Grand Rapids had a similar situation a season or two ago when the girl's high school coached stepped down...
