Who would get the best early Christmas present with a win tonight? I am thinking it must be Hopkins. But Brainerd - Moorhead winner will be worth some seeding points. St Mikes over Breck? Greenway over Hibbing? Or a Jefferson win? Yeah, sure Hopkins. But that would be more of a Christmas miracle th...

Those last two losses by East have dropped them to #42 in PageStat, 33rd in Class AA. That's unprecedented and I've been running PageStat since the 1997-98 season. Of far more importance is the question; what do they do now? Luckily it's only December so there is time. Before they end up going on t...

Do you realize two of the videos you posted show young kids playing soccer? At very elite soccer academies. The other one is a video of a kid executing a single trick that he probably tried thousands of times to perfect it. What do these videos have anything to do with a decision that was made cons...

I've said this before and I'll say it again. I don't like Edina. However, I have great respect for the program they have built and continue to maintain. They are not only the most successful youth program, but the most successful HS program in the history of MN hockey. Anyone who wants to argue tha...

How does scoring more points against awful hockey teams make him a better player and get him ready for the next level? Maybe that is why he is still playing his senior year at Luverne. Maybe the higher hockey powers have seen the same thing and didn't like how he didn't play with "purpose"...

C-Dad, agree. I think also what is important is that these kids with exceptional potential talent practiced/worked together. They had a venue MM which allowed that to happen. They were given the opportunity to be on the ice together to push each other. No easy battles when you are competing against...

At the base of it all, find a good community with a good commute to work. EVERY city in town has a team and about 10 rinks within 10 miles of them. Don't pick a school because of hockey. EVERYONE has hockey. BUT, if you are making hockey part of the decision, I'd look at teams that were top 15 ranke...
