Right...kind of hypocritical to say "hey look at how many people we have in the stands and on the website" then talk smack about them.... it's the parents that hit up the website, fill the stands with their families and grandparents and friends, fund raise and volunteer for the hockey pro...

Rapids parents this year were a rare breed. Some will not be missed. Please stay on east side of the Prairie River. Rapids parents are rare breeds every year at every level. That's why we all love playing up there. When the kids look at you and ask, "Hey, how can he do that?", you just te...

Lol.....I hope you don't quit your day job! Nothing I said was inaccurate. (And part of my "day job" is GRHS Hockey Online, which is wildly popular.) Trent didn't meet with administration until today. So, until today - the answer was no. So...anyone who reported yesterday or the day befor...

In case anyone would like to hear some actual attempt at reporting, rather than made-up tom foolery... I talked to Trent yesterday afternoon. I simply said - are you returning as head coach at Grand Rapids? His response... "No." I'm not saying he couldn't return. Who the heck knows. But t...

"The next guy is going to have to be like Randolph who basically says it is my way or you hit the highway. And that includes your mommy and daddy too. It is going to have to be a guy who makes those parents say "oh no, not him" on the first pass. This will be interesting." - Wet...

So you think Klatt would have said, "yes" when you asked him if he was coming back? Not on planet earth! Second, GR is a rabid hockey town. Heck the house pets in GR dream of their next championship. Combined with the fact it's 2016, the miles wouldn't come between GR and their next coach...

Clafton has told the Greenway AD that he is not interested in the Rapids. Hope that doesn't change. I've also heard that Clafton and one other (not sure who) turned the job down. Someone else, however, has said yes. Not my place to break the news, but I assume we'll hear shortly. Also not accurate....

A good AD would be constantly reviewing the program. I trust that she is.

I think the captain, yes even at the high school level, is over rated. Most of the kids have little clue and no experience on how to motivate or manage a locker room. I've seen it way to many times the C goes to the kids head and he becomes more of a nuisance than an asset. Or other kids become jea...

Are you sure you want to make that bet? From what I have heard he isn't going any where. Yes he is a Rapids alumni but from a couple sources, they can sort out there own mess I'm not walkin in and dealing with that. Especially when I know what I have and could have where I am. You've got sources, I...

I obviously can't guarantee that, but we would all be surprised. It literally does not happen at Grand Rapids. Go ahead and find the last kid to do it. Jack Dunnell this season. You don't know the back story. He didn't choose to leave Grand Rapids and he didn't leave for a better opportunity. The o...

Nowadays, in regards to college committed HS juniors, that's always something to question until the kid unequivocally states he's coming back. Not at Grand Rapids. So Hain and McLaughlin will 100% turn down the USNTDP if offered? I obviously can't guarantee that, but we would all be surprised. It l...
