What is Clay Matvick talking about?
I said the SAME thing outloud!!! Matvick sitting with STA's coaches between periods?
If STA is gritty and tough, then Worthington is all about winning championships.

I've played in a handful of games that these two hooligans have refed. They're very inconsistent and pushing 70.

Even less people will watch the State Class A Tourney as well. (already somewhat lacking) They had over 10,000 people for yesterdays afternoon session, which was 2nd all-time I believe. Class A might not have the following AA has, but people will always tune in (especially when teams like Thief Riv...

They should have overturned that goal. He got cross-checked into the goalie  He was checked but it was well before he got to the goalie. Either way, STA needs to score the next goal. Right. You might want to hit rewind and take another look at it. The refs called it a goal before and after th...

All the goalies in Class AA are quite good, and all the goalies in Class A are very average (or below average). AA: 1. Lindgren, Lakeville North -- A game-changer. A terrific athlete. 2. Jeanetta, Duluth East -- He's just a gamer. 3. Ford, Eden Prairie -- It's playoff time. He's back. 4. Malvin, Bla...

Why are people defending STA here? They have out-grown class A. If they were to move up to AA they would get even better recruits. It's win-win. They've already shown they can compete with the best teams in AA, year-in year-out. They aren't the only team that should consider making the move, but the...

The WCHA awards are out. I nailed 12/15. I missed Mike Connelly (who I thought I typed in, oops), John Faulkner and Justin Faulk. I don't know how you leave off Brittain who led the Pioneers to a 2nd place finish. He's only a freshman and he had to replace Cheverie. It was supposed to be a time-sha...

3rd place game Thief River Falls 2 Hibbing 0 after 2- Riley Soderstrom has both Prowler goals. TRF is also playing their other goalie today, not a huge suprise as he is a senior and split time during the regular season. Koop is better than Narverud IMO. If this game is any indicator, STA will walk ...

Duluth East over Eden Prairie
Thief River Falls over Hibbing

1-1

Two tipped goals.
Edina's was on purpose and Blaine's was an unfortunate bounce.
The officiating has already played a factor.

Off topic but, was wondering, did the Thief River falls Prowlers use to have a different nickname? (If so what was it?) They were the "Thieves" way back in the day. Josh Koop NEEDS to start in goal for TRF on Friday if they want a chance to win. He's bigger and more consistant. It's proba...
