I prefer less privates in AA. No way do I watch as much tourney with Hill/Benilde/StThomas in it every year. Honestly people have been reduced to rooting for Edina. I'd love to have three tourneys. Let the AA and Private champs play a week later. Or not. I think they should be forced to play by thi...

How do they build the team. New draft or open try outs

Yes more scoring against HF. They can look forward to being throttled by EP,Zata,BSM or Tonka in the first round.

Strange that only 11 forwards for the 16s. You would think that we would get at least 20 kids at each level. There will be 20. If last year is any guide, USA Hockey is saving a spot for Alec Baer, and so they should Why didnt they ask lou to use the backdoor again and open up a spot for someone els...

Keep in mind how the South Suburban came to be.... when the MSHSL placed Minnetonka, Wayzata and Hopkins in the Lake Conference, nine school schools left the Lake and formed the SSC. The best, long-term solution would be a Catholic School Conference. CDH, STA and Vis, TG, BSM, AHA, HM, DeLaSalle an...

Re: Xmas tourney

[quote="grandmeadowhockeyfan"]That would be an awesome tourney. I would go out of my way to see that. Choosing between the st Louis park tourney, and Schwann would be a real difficult choice.[/quoti I think it is already a tough choice. Plus not driving to Blaine from south metro is a plus...

What doesn't it have to do with it? MSHSL should have no correlation with this program if they will ALLOW a kid to be kicked out for looking, but then ACCEPT another back in with open arms. I dont believe MSHL has any control for why someone gets kicked off a team when they go directly against what...

Put Moore and Labosky on either side of Johnson and you would see similar results. Did Besse get a D1 scholarship as a sophomore? Didn't think so. I think Besse is an outstanding player, but Johnson is just as good. Besse is 124 in the NHL scouting rankings while Johnson is 135. "Not even clos...

Gotcha. Maybe a conflict of schedule then. Interesting no points though. I wish him well, he's a nice player. Great hands and creativity. I know he is on the tennis team, so maybe there was a conflict with that. He had 4g and 1a in the Great 8. As far as his reduced scoring, he missed 6 games two s...

19,000 people disagree with you. ..and 95% of those going to the game only to root for, and experience a private school upset - not good hockey. Here we go again! Does anyone know where you can find the actual enrollments of the schools in MN? The enrollment page on the mshsl site has the numbers after multipliers, but doesn't show the actual enrolled as far as I'm aware. Yeah, there's a reason Barak doesn't send his kids to the D.C....

Re: Private vs Public

Sad to say but the days of going to state and maybe winning a title with your buddies you have played with your whole life is pretty much gone now. It's a sad sad situation when you even have to go out of state for players like STA has done to win a title. And to win the small school title at that....

Not likely. Without Dingman this years team is 500. EP will be very good next year. Tonka will also be in the hunt. BSM will rebuild. They have a number of very good players coming in. What might the bad decisions be? Wayzata has one of the biggest youth programs in the state. Their bantams are alw...
